What You Will Do Raytheon's Effector Power and Analog Design (EPAD) Team is looking for junior to mid-level engineers who have power electronics knowledge to help design robust power systems. The Effector Power and Analog Design Department is responsible for the development, from concept to integration, of Telemetry and Flight Termination products; power systems from all up round to the lowest level power regulation; servo electronics supporting all mechanical motion in our products and low noise mixed signal electronics that provides the analog to digital interface to our front-end sensors. Each of these products generally operate in lower power and voltage ranges less than 10kW and 1000V. Design, analyze, simulate, test, and document power conversion (and related analog) circuitry. This circuitry will dominantly involve non-isolated and isolated switch mode power converters and linear converters. Main emphasis is on board-mounted power end use applications. Assist in architecting at the circuit card level. Help to see circuit card development through its design phases, from requirements definition through initial integration testing. Drive to meet schedule concerns. Define schedules for circuit level tasking. Guide ECAD drafters through layout and routing activities, with moderate support from senior engineers. Assist in layer stackup definition. Function as an individual contributor. Understand the role of a small team lead and engage in personal technical growth. What You Will Do The selected candidate will play a role in the Effector Subsystems Products Development Department as a Prototype Planner II who will work with multiple organizations and roles to manage the logistics for developmental engineering electrical and mechanical hardware builds. Duties include the interpretation of engineering drawings and associated documentation. Review quality requirements to generate manufacturing work methodologies and/or instructions. Produce illustrations and capture the associated bill of material documentation for as-built configuration.  Employee will be responsible for ensuring quality, cost, and schedule requirements are met for engineering hardware. This will include identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities. Selected individual will all perform BOM analysis, component purchase and generate material status reports. Employee will request components from engineering stores, and identify/disposition quality discrepancies and non-conformances. Selected individual will also utilize various tools including SAP, Common PDM, MatTrak, and FIORI. Individual will be the focal point for specific programs to meet program schedules and quality objectives. Work with peers and multiple functions to plan and manage kitting requests. Develop inventory control to avoid delayed schedule. Assist in processing program requests and shipments according to the established schedule. Maintain up-to-date knowledge on engineering objectives, strategies and support activities. Work with cross-functional teams to complete kitting requests on-time and within program requirements. Communicate updates to Managers and customers on regular basis. Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires a University degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) Requires a minimum of two (2) years relevant work experience Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and hierarchy definition to create work instructions Experience with quoting and interfacing with suppliers The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
