This position will be located at Patrick Space Force Base, FL. This position may be eligible for a hybrid telecommuting schedule after an initial training period.
Essential Functions
Lead and strengthen the cybersecurity posture of the Eastern Range (ER) Launch Test Range System (LTRS) cybersecurity operations, including budget oversight, resource allocation, and strategic planningOversee a team of cybersecurity professionals and serve as the primary cybersecurity interface for ER operations, working in close coordination with the Enterprise Cybersecurity Manager on the Western Range (WR).Continuously evaluate and improve cybersecurity processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and incorporate lessons learnedIdentify, assess, and maintain cybersecurity risks across the organizationOversee core cybersecurity functions:Incident response and recoverySecurity assessments, vulnerability scans, and remediationRMF documentation (System Security Plan, Security Assessment Report, POA&M)Data security and privacy protocolsSecurity monitoring and audit processesServe as the primary ER cybersecurity liaison:Communicate risks and mitigation strategies to senior leadershipCollaborate with legal, compliance, industrial security, purchasing, and IT teamsRepresent ER cybersecurity interests in engagements with government agencies and external stakeholdersEnsure compliance with DoD and organizational security policies in coordination with the government counterpartProvide mentorship and guidance to cybersecurity staff and program personnelStay abreast of emerging threats, technologies, and regulatory changes to adapt security strategies proactivelyOther duties as assignedRequired Skills
