At QuickVisit, we are seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to provide telepsychiatry care in conjunction with services provided in our urgent care clinics. Our mission is to help those in underserved communities lead healthier, more fulfilling lives by improving access to trusted, affordable, and personalized urgent, primary, and mental healthcare. We are bringing affordable, accessible care right to patient’s hometowns.
The provider will be responsible for performing psychiatric evaluations and assessments virtually while prescribing and managing patient psychiatric medications from the age of six through adulthood. The Provider would be working with patients who may have the following symptoms/ previous diagnosis: Depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, attention deficit disorders, grief disorders, bipolar disorders, schizophrenia, mood disorders, substance abuse and personality disorders. Though this is a general list, it is not all encompassing.
The Provider will be expected to conduct one new patient evaluation every hour and to conduct follow-up’s/med checks in 30-minute increments. The provider will need to be able to function autonomously. The NP demonstrates an advanced level of medical and nursing knowledge, clinical/technical competence, sound clinical judgment, professional communication skills, timely and compliant documentation, and responsible for professional development and competency validation.
A collaborating physician will be provided; however, they may not specialize in mental health disorders.

Essential Responsibilities:
Bring innovative, high quality urgent and primary care to patients of all ages in underserved communities.Perform physical exams, diagnose and treat illnesses, order and interpret labs, prescribe medication, provide patient education, and appropriately document all relevant information in EMR.Perform examinations for workers’ comp, occupational medicine, DOT, sports, wellness, and pre-employment screeningsProvide flexible and adaptive care so as to not have to turn away patients before exhausting reasonable treatment options.Excellent communicator to both patients and staff.Work autonomously as a provider and work alongside nurses, x-ray technicians, and front office specialists to provide the best possible patient care.Provide leadership, direction, and assistance to team members as needed. Monitors completion of staff’s daily follow-up calls to monitor patient progress.Ability to use judgement to determine when to consult supervising physicianWorks with manager and other operational team members to ensure consistency with medical policy and professional standards.Supports and engages in projects and activities which will develop or improve services delivered at the clinic.Have a least one year of FNP experience and/or emergency care experience as an RN.Perform other duties as assignedWhat We Offer:
Work Life Balance and Flexible Schedule: Our clinics are open Monday – Friday 7AM to 7PM, Saturdays 8AM to 6PM, and Sundays from 1PM to 5PM. All schedules typically come out a month in advance so you will know what shifts are available then!
