POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Staff Accountant plays an important role to the overall success of QuesTec Mechanical. The Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for assisting the Director of Accounting with all accounting-related duties of a busy, successful mechanical construction company. Speed and accuracy are of utmost importance in this role. The Staff Accountant will perform the required responsibilities with a positive attitude and be willing to grow his/her knowledge base.

POSITION SUMMARY
The VDC (Virtual Design and Construction) Specialist creates plumbing and/or mechanical system 3D models to ensure best adherence to established project specifications, code requirements and QuesTec standards. Additionally, he/she strives to exploit the strengths of QuesTec s pre-fabrication processes, assisting in controlling internal costs through materials and labor optimization.
Primary Duties
Generates construction and fabrication models/drawings for a variety of small and large complex commercial and industrial mechanical system projectsReviews models/drawings for apparent conflicts with architectural and/or structural contract requirements to ensure compliance with local, state and federal codesReviews equipment documents from Project Management for accuracy and completenessPerforms site surveys and field measurement work as needed to support the conceptual and design drawingsWorks closely with Project Managers to obtain clarity and resolution through the RFI processProvides complete, detailed drawings to Pre-fab for parts manufacture, and to the job site for use in construction of and installation of material and equipmentPromotes collaboration among PMs, Foremen and fellow BIM DesignersAccepts guidance and exhibits a willingness to communicate positively with Estimators, Project Managers, Foremen, and Field SuperintendentAvailable and willing to work overtime, as neededSECONDARY DUTIES

At QuesTec, our Estimating Department is responsible for preparing detailed Plumbing and/or HVAC estimates for commercial building projects based on the construction drawings and specifications we receive. This position is a full-time, salaried role reporting to our VP of Business Development who oversees the entire Estimating Department. There are two Bid Coordinators that support the Estimators in their work to facilitate the bidding and estimation requirements established by clients in the preconstruction process.
Primary Duties
Review project plans and specifications to determine material and labor requirements Estimate the cost of materials, equipment, labor, tools, and any other resources needed to complete a proposed project Analyze and identify design/construction issues, and provide solutions that are beneficial to both the contractor and to QuesTec Perform value engineering to reduce overall costs when applicable Communicate and collaborate with our Virtual Design Team, Project Managers, Foremen, and Field Superintendent to ensure project success and to promote learning and effectiveness regarding future and current projects Available and willing to work as required to meet frequent deadlinesSecondary Duties
