Purpose of the position: Assist in setting up a tufting and backing production facility in the plant (Carpet Industry, Automotive, Tier 2).Launching the production facility. Managing production and planning execution in such a way that continuity of the production process is ensured and production meets standards regarding safety, quality, and quantity, while maintaining a continuous improvement focus.
Responsible, among other things, for the daily operations of the plant,Departments included (to be determined): - Technical Department - Quality - Production Departments - Logistics o Environment and Safety - Planning - Internal Sales / Customer Service- Responsible for supply chain performance and the associated KPIs- Supervising operational activities, monitoring agreements made, and making adjustments where necessary- Leading the daily operational board meeting and ensuring an effective agenda flow in the order of safety-quality-quantity- Initiating improvement projects and safeguarding operations- Initiating discussions to improve collaboration and addressing managers regarding behavior and responsibilities.- Setting priorities, structuring and coordinating team activities, providing direction, solving non-routine problems, and guiding solutions.- Ensuring production output meets quality and quantity standards across various focus areas.- Ensuring all installations remain operational in such a way that production loss is minimized and maximum availability is achieved.- Ensuring administrative activities are carried out in such a way that the production process and departments are provided with the correct information.- Handling personnel matters while safeguarding the core values of the company.
Knowledge and education level:- Experience in the carpet industry in the USA- Network within the carpet industry in the USA- Has a strong awareness of safety and quality and is able to transfer this mindset to colleagues- Ability to oversee work processes at a high level and understand relationships within the production system- Basic knowledge of safety and understanding of critical SHE aspects (including work permits, bypass procedures, and emergency plans)- Knowledge of continuous improvement systems and tools- Knowledge of operating, controlling, and monitoring complex production processes and installations- Leadership and organizational skills- Written and verbal communication skills (occasionally in English)- Competencies: Leadership, Visualization, Judgment and Decisiveness, Coaching, Communication, Result Orientation, Safe Working, and Quality Orientation
