  Who You Are and The Impact You Will Have::
  
  The Senior Manager, Critical Projects (Retrofit Construction) is primarily responsible for leading and managing a group of Project Managers who execute Facilities Capital construction projects within a specific region ranging in size between $25K to $30M and of varying complexity. The Senior Manager will interact with several cross-functional teams within QTS including Critical Engineering, Procurement, Environmental Safety & Health, Data Center Infrastructure Management and pre-dominantly Operations staff and should have both written and oral communication skills commensurate with this level of regular communication.
  
  What You Will Do:
  Manage a growing region within the capital portfolio of >$100m of facilities projects ranging in size from $10k to $40M.Own your Regional portfolio performance (cost, schedule, quality, safety)Assist Critical Projects Director in gathering regional information to support preparing executive level reporting for senior leadership on capital across the Critical Project Portfolio.Monthly capital forecast and projections.Work with site teams to monitor and control annual and multi-year capital budget forecasting.Facilitate capital approval process for incremental project release.Use existing cost models and estimating processes to better project capital delivery.Manage existing Capital Process for assigned region to ensure consistency and delivery of projects.Grow and mature our project and program management discipline across assigned region.Mentor project managers and standard project management practices.Enhance and navigate existing project management information system.Create and communicate updates on regional project status on a monthly basis suitable for executive level reviews.Assist Project and Program Managers with writing good scopes of work for design, construction, commissioning services & participate in procurement and project cost estimates.Oversee Evaluation and bid-leveling pricing proposals for design, construction, and commissioning services.Work closely with strategic procurement team on equipment procurement and delivery processCoach team members on how to establish project schedules and manage teams to on-time completionRepresent QTS interests as a leader in overseeing project OAC meetingsCreate & build relationships that enhance QTS's ability to be a leader in creating the World's Most Valuable Data Center Real EstateWork with the internal Facilities development team to enhance project management processes and protocols
  What You Will Need to be Successful (basic qualifications):
  Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent professional experienceThree or more years of professional experience in commercial construction practices and procedures, including management of Lump Sum, Construction Management at Risk, and Design Build project delivery methods from conceptual development through procurement to close outExperience with Microsoft Office suite, specifically PowerPoint for use in communicating program updates to executive level, and Excel to create and maintain site program & individual project budgetsBe able to travel up to 25% of the time
  Other Key Skills:

Who You Are & the Impact You Will Do: The Senior Manager, Critical Project Controls will lead the project controls functional area for a portfolio of $150M-$300M in Mission Critical construction projects. Mission critical projects include performing renovation, asset refresh and capacity upgrade projects in an operating environment. Candidate will ensure effective planning, monitoring, and execution of projects within budget and schedule constraints. This role will work closely with project managers, analysts engineers, and other stakeholders to strategically develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecasts. This role involves managing a group of Development Analysts, analyzing complicated project data, managing change management, managing departmental reporting functions, identifying risks and opportunities, and recommending corrective actions to improve project performance and mitigate risk.   The Quality Assurance Program Manager (QAPM) is primarily responsible for leading the development and implementation of project specific quality programs in alignment with the QTS Quality Assurance Program. The QAPM will interact with project teams, including trade partners and vendors, to ensure adequate control measures are performed and produce the expected outcomes, and lead the corrective action when found otherwise.
  
  RESPONSIBILITIES - Other duties may be assigned
  Manage the quality assurance programs on multiple projects/campuses.Train, manage, assist, and hold accountable project-specific quality personnel.Provide training to project teams, including trade partners and vendors, on quality expectations.Monitor and proactively recommend continuous improvement opportunities at the project level.Document and communicate updates for assigned projects/campuses to the Development Quality Team on a bi-weekly basis.Lead/Participate in project quality meetings to ensure adequacy of topics and participation.Periodically review project Quality Observation Reports for data integrity and follow up with teams for corrective actions when found to be deficient.Understand and communicate the Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) expectations.Lead/Participate in root cause analyses when a nonconformance issue meets prescribed criteria.Work alongside MEP Team to understand expectations and improvement opportunities during commissioning activities.Participate in vendor/supplier factory tests, inspections, and audits.Establish and maintain relationships serving as liaison with key QTS stakeholders.Represent QTS interests as a leader in OAC Meetings.Encourage vocal and visible recognition for quality successes.Be a leading voice for INTEGRITY within the quality program to promote open and productive communication between all stakeholders.Actively participate in internal QTS Quality improvement opportunities.
  BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  10+ years of construction experience5+ years of quality related management experience, including plan development, training, implementation, and continuous improvement.Experience in Microsoft Office suite, specifically PowerPoint for presentation development and Excel for data compilation and analysis.Be able to travel up to 50% of the time.US Citizenship for this position is required by law due to federal customer contracts.
  PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
