    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Territory Sales Representative

    We are seeking territory sales managers to help us continue to expand into all of our current US markets.

    Essential Functions:
    • Continually work territory to seek out new business opportunities by face-to-face prospecting
    • Secure orders from existing and potential customers.
    • Seek out opportunities to quote on customer requirements.
    • Follows up on quotations submitted to customers.
    • Establish professional customer/vendor relationships with appropriate customer personnel.
    • Plan daily, weekly schedule and effectively work territory
    • Prepare and deliver samples to customers
    • Set up and maintain samples and displays in customer showrooms
    • Submit daily activity/call reports concerning customer-related activities.
    • Perform all assigned duties in the assigned sales territory.
    • Provide territory sales forecast on a monthly basis.
    • Perform assigned duties with minimum personal supervision from the sales manager.

    Position Summary:

    This is a ground floor opportunity with a rapidly growing, Inc. 5000 company. Day to day sales activity will include prospecting, following up on leads and contacting existing clients established by the sales representative. Your target markets will include flooring dealers, pool builders, contractors, architects, landscape architects, designers, specifiers and home builders. Product offerings will include QDI's entire product line. Position could evolve to include other territories within the state or management positions.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    Successful candidates will have the following:
    • Minimum 5 years outside sales experience, minimum 3 years flooring industry experience
    • Well organized and self-disciplined - Attention to detail a must.
    • Relationship builder with a strong work ethic
    • Outstanding customer service skills.
    • Problem-solving skills with the habit of being proactive.
    • Excellent communication skills, self-motivated, self-starter, sense of urgency, and personable.• Ability to successfully build and manage a territory
    • Strong prospector and closer
    • Computer skills including MS Outlook, Word and Excel.
    • Travel within the state.

    *Ability to pass background check and drug screening

    Successful candidates will have the following qualifications / skills:
    • 3-5 years in an accounting/bookkeeping role.
    • Must be able to adapt to high volume of emails and prioritize duties.
    • Detail orientated, well organized and self-disciplined. Attention to detail with critical thinking a must. Accuracy in data entry highly important.
    • Excellent, strong communication and personnel skills. Ability to create the best practices.
    • Good presentation skills.
    • Self starter. Problem-solving skills with proactive can-do attitude.
    • Team player
    • Strong computer skills including QB, MS Outlook, Word and Excel a must

This role, though non-supervisory, is a pivotal part of our innovative sales team, offering a dynamic mix of responsibilities to keep you engaged and excited

    The job functions would include but not limited to:
    • Answer incoming calls regarding pricing/availability, product questions/uses and general inquiries from our customers providing superior customer service
    • Efficient order entry using Acctivate software with compiled data from customer along with precise calculations and audited product verified before entry and collect payment accurately according to company procedures.
    • Coordinate customer material pick-ups with warehouse personnel and/or arrange pick-up schedules with outside freight companies which includes verifying outgoing product counts utilizing invoice to ensure accuracy.
    • Service company's existing accounts and obtain new accounts wherever possible through direct referrals outbound/inbound sales calls or proper means
    • Assist in completion of customer files, including but not limited to: Client Information sheets, tax exempt certs (Form 5000), Credit card authorization forms and maintaining records by scanning and filing.
    • Communicate with the sales team regarding customer inquiries and leads including follow-up.
    • Greet customers and the team as they come into the showroom or via inbound phone calls
    • Be able to present the QDI product line and answer questions from customers
    • Specific marketing projects assigned by GM or Operations Manager
    • Attend industry related networking events when necessary
    • Maintaining sample room and updating sample inventory
    • Suggest improvements to the overall process

    Successful candidates will have the following:
    3-5 years in customer service, preferably natural stone industry experience.Well organized and self-disciplined - Attention to detail a must.Outstanding customer service skills.Professional appearance with good attendance.Good presentation skills.Problem-solving skills with the habit of being proactive.Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.Team playerGood computer skills including MS Outlook, Word and ExcelRecent college grads encouraged to apply, Ability to pass mandatory background check and drug screening.
