    Job Description

    The Press Operator will process Tinplate and Wire-mesh material into finished and semi-finished product via various slitting, cutting, and punching techniques.

    Shift Hours:  Monday - Thursday, 5:00 am - 3:00 pm

    Key Technical Responsibilities

    Operate punch presses and other production equipment used in slitting, cutting, and punching tinplate and wire-mesh materials.Read and interpret work orders, production instructions, and basic technical drawings to ensure accurate product specifications.Monitor production output and achieve established hourly production goals.Record material usage, labor hours, and production data accurately using tracking systems and computer applications.Perform in-process quality inspections and measurements to ensure products meet specifications and tolerance requirements.Identify equipment issues, machine malfunctions, or process concerns and promptly communicate them to supervision.Complete basic preventative maintenance (PM) tasks and maintain equipment cleanliness.Maintain an organized workstation and adhere to all safety, quality, and ISO-related procedures.Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and lower costs.Qualifications

    Education/Experience

    One (1) year of manufacturing, production, or machine operation experience preferred; equivalent training or experience will be considered.Experience operating industrial machinery in a manufacturing environment.

    Ability to work in a manufacturing environment around moving machinery and equipment.Frequent standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, and handling materials.Ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment and follow all safety procedures.Capacity to perform repetitive tasks requiring hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

    What we are looking for: 

    Education/Experience

    A minimum of three (3) years of field service support and hands-on Mechanical or Electrical experience with manufacturing equipment, ideally in the aluminum or primary metals industry.

    Experience working with industrial fuel fired equipment/engineered systems preferred.

    Technical Skills.  Ability to assess, troubleshoot and repair machinery by referring to and applying principles, techniques, and standard operating procedures.  Basic knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and basic machinery. Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

    Computer/Applications Skills. Proficient computer skills using a variety of software applications systems, including Microsoft Office Products, Visio, and Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD).

    Travel and Work Requirements.  Ability to travel by land and air up to 80%, both domestically and globally.  Valid driver’s license and US Passport, or ability to obtain required. Ability to work extended hours based on the needs of the business.

    Job Description

    Schedule 2nd Shift: Monday - Thursday  2:45PM to 12:45AM 

    Position eligible for a $1500 sign on bonus.  1/2 to be paid at 90 days, remainder paid at 180 days.

    Responsible for producing machined parts by setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine, maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records, and maintaining equipment and supplies.   

    Essential Function/Responsibilities:

    Plan machining projects by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, locations and machining parameters. Accurately interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).Ensure accurate determination of calculating requirements to include basic math, geometry, trigonometry, and proving parts. G-code and/or conversational programming required.Set-up machines by installing and adjusting three to four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops and stock pushers, and indicating vices and trimming heads.Maintain specifications by drilling, grooving and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes, adjusting and reprogramming controls; and sharpening and replacing worn tools. Adhere to quality assurance procedures and processes.Operate and maintain read auxiliary equipment including Mills (Conventional), Drill Presses and Band Saws.Provide operator and inspection instruction for CNC Operator Assistants.Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs.Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities and continuing needs. Document actions by completing production and quality logs.
