Our client, a healthcare focused financial consulting firm, is looking for a Software Engineer to join their talented team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on full-stack engineer with strong backend experience in PHP (Symfony) and solid frontend and database skills are a must have. This is a hybrid role in Concord, CA and the salary is $140,000 - $150,000 annually.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design, develop, and maintain features for a cloud-based SaaS applicationBuild backend services using PHP (Symfony) and frontend components with Vue.js (JavaScript/TypeScript)Work with MySQL/MariaDB databasesCreate clean and robust UIs using templating engines like Twig, Mako, Jinja or frameworks like VaadinContribute to modernizing legacy systems and evolving the existing tech stackParticipate in code reviews and continuous improvement of the codebaseParticipate in system architecture and design decisions to ensure performance, scalability and maintainabilityCollaborate with product owners, engineering team members and cross-functional stakeholdersParticipate in Agile sprint planning and ceremoniesSupport and improve CI/CD pipelines and development workflowsWork with cloud-based infrastructure in AWS
QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ years of professional software development experienceMust have strong experience with PHP (Symfony framework)Experience creating UIs using modern templating frameworksExperience with JavaScript/Typescript (Vue.js) preferredSolid experience with relational databases (MySQL, MariaDB, or similar)Experience working in cloud environments (AWS)Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelinesExperience designing scalable, cloud-based systemsAbility to write clear unit tests with frameworks like PHPUnit, unittest, JUnit and JestComfortable working with Linux environmentsStrong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex systemsAbility to work independently in a remote-first environment
