Position Summary
Prosper Communities is seeking a dependable, customer-focused Service Technician I to support maintenance operations across our growing portfolio of apartment communities throughout the Cincinnati market.
This is a scattered-site position, meaning you'll travel between multiple communities performing service requests, preventative maintenance, apartment turns, and general repairs. Every day is different, making this an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and working independently while being part of a supportive team.

Key Performance Expectations
Our Service Technician I team members are expected to:
Primary Responsibilities
Maintenance & Repairs
Perform general maintenance including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, appliance repair, and paintingDiagnose maintenance issues and complete repairs efficientlyComplete preventative maintenance throughout assigned communitiesMaintain common areas and building systemsApartment Turns
Prepare apartments for new residentsComplete punch lists, repairs, painting, fixture replacements, and other turnover tasksWork closely with Property Managers to ensure apartments are move-in ready on scheduleResident Service
Respond promptly and professionally to resident maintenance requestsCommunicate clearly regarding repair timelines and completed workDeliver outstanding customer service while working inside occupied homesSafety & Compliance
Follow OSHA guidelines and company safety proceduresMaintain accurate maintenance records and completed work ordersEnsure company vehicles, equipment, and tools remain clean and organizedTeam Support
Collaborate with Property Managers and maintenance team membersAssist with special projects, capital improvements, and newly acquired properties as neededParticipate in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies (when scheduled)Qualifications
1–3 years of apartment, residential, facilities, or general maintenance experience preferredExperience with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, or appliance repairEPA Certification and/or HVAC Certification is a plus but not requiredWillingness to learn and grow through company-paid trainingStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsExcellent customer service and communication abilitiesAbility to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesAbility to lift 50+ pounds, climb ladders, and work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditionsValid driver's license with an acceptable driving recordBenefits & Perks
