They are currently seeking a Packaging  Maintenance Technician to join their esteemed team.Employees are entitled to a benefits package, including PTO, paid holidays, a matching 401k, and avenues for continuous professional development.PAY: $26-31/HR ($0.50 Shift Differential for 2nds and 3rds)10-15 hours/week OTPOSITION SUMMARY: The Industrial Packaging Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining a variety of packaging machinery to ensure the accurate and efficient packaging of food products. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented individual with hands-on experience in packaging operations within food manufacturing and is knowledgeable about food safety protocols.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 2 years or more of experience with: 480v and 3 Phase motor troubleshooting, repair, and wiring. PLC Troubleshooting Strong Mechanical and Electrical Skills. Hydraulics and Pneumatics. Packaging or production roles within the food manufacturing industry.Calibrating and Adjusting Packaging equipment to get correct flows, weights, and measures.Proficiency with performing in depth maintenance on packaging equipment, including: Form-fill-seal machines, Labeling and coding system, Shrink wrappers and cartoners, Case packers and palletizers, Metal detectors and X-ray equipmentMechanical Aptitude: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle minor repairs and adjustments independently.Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and quality orientation, ensuring that packaging meets safety and quality standards.Food Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, and food safety requirements.Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills for effective documentation and teamwork.Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in a fast-paced environment.This facility has stairs, mezzanines, ladders, and other places that require climbing, stooping, bending, walking, standing, etc PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Certification in food safety or manufacturing operations is a plus.Experience with vacuum sealing or MAP machines is a bonus.Basic knowledge of automation technology or robotics.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain Packaging Machinery: Set up, calibrate, adjust, and perform maintenance on packaging equipment such as baggers, form-fill-seal machines, labelers, shrink wrappers, cartoners, case packers, metal detectors, scales, dispensers, and MAP.Troubleshoot Equipment: Identify and resolve machine malfunctions, perform repairs, and resolve complex issues to minimize downtime.Ensure Quality Control: Conduct regular machine and equipment inspections.Product Loading and Monitoring: Monitor product flow, loading of materials, and machine performance, making necessary adjustments and calibrations to meet production targets.Conduct Maintenance: Perform reactive and preventive maintenance on machines to ensure they remain in optimal working condition.Follow Food Safety and GMP StandardsDocument and reportAssist with Changeovers: Prepare machines for different product runs, conducting efficient changeovers and calibrations based on production schedules.Individuals requiring a sponsorship of any kind now or in the future please note: This company is not sponsoring at this time.#RESOURCESPost Author: CAWCompany DescriptionAllow our resources team to show you the difference from other staffing agencies.
