    Position Summary:

    The Client Care Safety Coordinator (CCSC) is a critical position in our 47-unit residential building. The 47 studio apartments house a mixture of supported housing clients and NYC Affordable Lottery tenants. The CCSCs are responsible for ensuring client safety, providing direct care services and maintaining building safety during shift hours at this residential site housing chronically homeless individuals who have a chronic health condition (mental or physical diagnosis, and/or substance use diagnosis).

     

    Responsibilities:

    Responsible for the security and safety of the building including reporting and monitoring client activities in the common areas of the buildingReport all incidents using the agency incident reporting system as well as notify appropriate personnelHandle any emergency situations as they arise and engage in crisis management and intervention, calling 911 and other emergency contacts as neededDirect visitors and handle general inquiries at the Welcome CenterCollaborate with Case Management staff regarding client safety concerns, including but not limited to collaborative apartment inspections

     

    Qualifications:

    High School Diploma or GED requiredCPR/AED certification is a plusNY State Security Certification preferredKnowledge of homeless and disadvantaged populations is a plusMust have excellent communication skills both orally and in writing regarding complex and sensitive issues and regulations

    Position Summary

    The Chief Advancement Officer (CAO) is Project Hospitality's senior philanthropy executive and a key member of the Executive Team, responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive advancement strategy that accelerates philanthropic revenue, diversifies private funding sources, and strengthens the organization's long-term financial sustainability. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the CAO serves as a strategic partner to the CEO and Board of Directors, aligning philanthropy with Project Hospitality's mission, strategic priorities, and vision for community impact. The CAO is expected to serve as an enterprise leader, contributing to organizational strategy and acting as a trusted advisor to the CEO on matters of philanthropy, external relations, and long-term organizational sustainability.


    The CAO provides executive leadership for all advancement functions, including major gifts, annual and planned giving, foundation and corporate partnerships, donor stewardship, capital and special campaigns, signature fundraising events, and community engagement. The CAO will build and lead a high-performing Advancement team, cultivate transformational relationships with donors and strategic partners, and serve as a visible ambassador for Project Hospitality throughout Staten Island and the greater New York philanthropic community. Through innovation, collaboration, and data-driven decision-making, the CAO will strengthen the organization's brand, expand philanthropic investment, and advance Project Hospitality's mission and community impact.


    The CAO will lead and develop the Advancement Department, providing direct supervision to the Director of Development and Senior Development Associate while overseeing the work of advancement consultants and external partners, including government relations, fund development, and grant writing. The CAO will ensure that the department's people, systems, and external resources are aligned to achieve Project Hospitality's strategic fundraising and philanthropic objectives.


    In partnership with the CEO, the CAO serves as the primary staff liaison to the Board of Directors' Development Committee, working closely with the Committee Chair to advance the Board's fundraising priorities, strengthen Board engagement in philanthropy, and support a culture of philanthropy and Board engagement. 


    As Project Hospitality's chief fundraising strategist and ambassador, the CAO will champion innovation, collaboration, and accountability to position the organization for sustained philanthropic growth and lasting community impact.


    Executive Leadership

    Serve as Project Hospitality's chief philanthropy executive and strategic advisor to the CEO. Develop, execute, and continuously refine a comprehensive advancement strategy aligned with the organization's strategic plan and long-term financial goals.Foster a culture of philanthropy across the organization. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Advancement team and oversee external consultants and strategic partners. 


    Fundraising & Revenue Growth

    Lead all philanthropic revenue strategies, including major gifts, annual giving, planned giving, foundation relations, corporate partnerships, campaigns, and donor stewardship. Expand unrestricted revenue and diversify philanthropic funding sources. Personally cultivate, solicit, and steward high-capacity donors, foundations, corporations, and strategic partners. Establish measurable fundraising goals, evaluate organizational performance, and use data to drive continuous improvement.


    Board & Executive Partnership

    Partner closely with the CEO and Board of Directors to advance fundraising priorities and organizational growth. Serve as the primary staff liaison to the Board Development Committee and work closely with the Committee Chair to strengthen Board engagement in philanthropy. Prepare and present fundraising strategies, reports, and recommendations to executive leadership and the Board. 


    External Relations & Brand Leadership

    Represent Project Hospitality with donors, foundations, corporations, elected officials, faith communities, and community leaders. Strengthen the organization's visibility, reputation, and philanthropic presence throughout Staten Island and the greater New York region. Provide executive oversight of advancement communications, marketing, and donor engagement initiatives. 


    Advancement Operations

    Ensure best-in-class advancement operations, including CRM management, fundraising analytics, prospect development, stewardship, reporting, and performance measurement. Build and continuously strengthen the systems, processes, technology, and infrastructure necessary to support sustainable fundraising growth and operational excellence.


    Qualifications

    Required

    Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible leadership in nonprofit fundraising or advancement. Demonstrated success securing and stewarding five-, six-, and seven-figure gifts. Proven track record of increasing philanthropic revenue and diversifying funding sources. Experience leading comprehensive advancement programs and high-performing teams. Experience partnering effectively with CEOs, Boards of Directors, and executive leadership. Exceptional relationship-building, communication, and strategic leadership skills. 


    Preferred

    Experience in human services, healthcare, or a mission-driven nonprofit organization. Experience leading capital campaigns and planned giving programs. Knowledge of government funding and public-private partnerships.

    Compensation

    The salary range for this position is $120,000-$125,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.     Are you passionate about addressing homelessness through innovative programming, team leadership and trauma-informed care?  Project Hospitality is seeking a dynamic Shelter/Program Director of The Richmond our new DHS Adult Family Shelter Program to join our Team.  In this impactful, high-visibility role, you’ll drive transformational change across our brand new adult family shelter program supporting adults experiencing homelessness as well as the factors which keep them homeless.  This role offers the chance to leave a lasting impact on the lives of individuals by helping them find stability, dignity and hope when they need it most.

     

    We’re looking for someone who can:

    Function as a leader and facilitator within the area of responsibility and establish and maintain effective lines of communication with all staffBe responsible for human resource managementServe in a marketing, professional and community relations capacity, as directed by the Area Director of Family Services to ensure that the program is well known and respected in the communities it servesParticipate in program development and the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of ongoing, established plan for quality improvement which fully integrates initiatives into the daily program operation

     

    What we’ll expect you to do:

    Provide clinical consultation and crisis intervention as requiredDeal with Staffing issues in an effective and efficient manner which fully complies with agency policyRecruitment will be done in an expeditious manner including orientation to new staff as applicableEvaluations, competency reviews and credentialing will be completed in a timely mannerStaff development and training activities will be carried out according to an established planAll paperwork will be completed in a timely and accurate manner and forwarded to the appropriate personnelDemonstrate knowledge of the needs of “The Richmond” during budget preparation and then comply with the program budget as approved which includes continuous monitoring of all expenses and revenues appropriately and authorizing check requisitions under $1000Responsible that all reports are accurately completed and submitted in a timely manner in conjunction with the Office ManagerUnderstand and utilize the information about the program from various oversight, compliance and regulatory sources and integrate that information into the daily program operationResponsible for attending meetings with DHS and other agencies as directedResponsible to comply with all OTDA “900 Series” regulations and to monitor legal and contractual obligationsResponsible for ongoing supervision of staff including clinical and administrative staff meetings which are to be held as per agency policy and minutes kept which reflect discussions and decisions reachedResponsible for facility management, ensuring that the program area is clean, maintained in good repair and conducive to achievement of client goals as well as responsible for the appropriate maintenance of all equipment inventoriesResponsible for the compliance with goals and objectives of the program as specified internally by the agency and as specified externally by the funding sourcesTo oversee census issue with DHS so the shelter operates at or near full capacityParticipate in both internal and external professional activities which further the goals of the program and the field of family homeless services24/7 on-call support to program staff as needed

     

    The credentials and experience we require:

    At least a Master’s degree in Social Work, although a Master’s degree in a related field would be consideredA minimum of 4 years of experience in the fields of homeless services, substance abuse, and/or mental health treatment is requiredA minimum of 2 years of administrative and/or supervisory experience in the above areas and strong clinical skillsExceptional oral and written communication skills and possess the highest degree of skills in working with individuals and groupsExpertise in housing-first, trauma-informed approaches and harm reductionOutstanding communication, collaboration and conflict resolution skillsStrong computer knowledge and fiscal skills, to the degree that they can respond to various external regulatory agencies and to the internal needs of the agency, are requiredThe Shelter/Program Director must conduct themselves with the utmost professionalism and uphold the highest moral and ethical standards at all timesThe physical ability to perform the essential job functions is necessary

    Summary:

    This OASAS Supported Housing Program provides individuals and families who have a history of substance use with supportive case management services enabling them to work towards a less supported housing environment.

    Responsibilities include:
