The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IBM i (AS/400) systems development, maintenance, and modernization. You will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, and supporting RPG applications that are critical to our business operations. Key Responsibilities: Analyze business requirements and develop technical specifications for RPG applications. Design, develop, test, and implement new programs using RPG IV, RPG Free, and ILE techniques. Maintain, debug, and enhance existing RPG and CL programs. Write and optimize embedded SQL within RPG programs. Create and maintain data integrations with other systems (files, APIs, SQL databases, etc.). Troubleshoot and resolve application issues in a timely manner. Document system changes and technical procedures. Collaborate with business users, analysts, and IT team members to deliver system solutions. Participate in system modernization efforts, including converting older RPG code to free-format or newer platforms. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience. 5+ years of experience in IBM i / AS400 application development using RPG (RPG III, IV, or Free-format). Proficiency with CL programming, DDS, and embedded SQL. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on accuracy and detail. Experience supporting production environments and troubleshooting legacy code. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work on-site full-time in Cleveland, Ohio.
