    WHY THIS ROLE

    You'll own the job site managing manpower, materials, scheduling, and quality from ground break to closeout. This is a leadership role with real accountability and the trust to run it your way. If you take pride in tight installs, safe crews, and projects that finish on time, we want to talk.

    WHAT YOU'LL OWN

    Safety

    • Lead pre-task meetings, weekly toolbox talks, and daily site walk-throughs

    • Enforce safety as the top priority on every job

    Scheduling & Planning

    • Plan crew work one week out, maintain a four-week look-ahead

    • Review plans and specs, identify prefab opportunities, and right-size your crew before work begins

    • Coordinate all trades and subcontractors to minimize downtime

    Materials & Logistics

    • Execute take-offs, manage orders and deliveries, control inventory using bag-and-tag method

    • Track backorders, release purchase orders, and update the submittal log

    Design Review & Communication

    • Sign off on all coordination and fabrication drawings

    • Attend all scope-of-work meetings

    • Weekly sync with Project Manager on productivity, RFIs, submittals, schedule, and manpower

    Quality Control & Closeout

    • Daily site walks to inspect workmanship, progress, and safety compliance

    • Manage final testing, equipment startup, punch lists, valve tags, and as-built drawings

    • Oversee owner sign-offs and site demobilization

    WHAT YOU BRING

    • 5+ years of commercial pipefitting, plumbing, or mechanical systems experience with a stable work history

    • Confident reading blueprints and executing material take-offs

    • Skilled at fabricating offsets and operating hand, power, and heavy equipment

    • Strong communicator who can lead a crew and coordinate across trades

    • High school diploma or GED; trade school a plus

    • Comfortable working outdoors, at height, and on your feet for extended hours

    • Must supply basic hand tools

    REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS

    • Valid Driver's License

    • State / Journeyman Trade License

    • OSHA 30-Hour Certification

    • CPR Certification

    Physical Requirements

    Position Overview

    Seeking a Staff Manufacturing Engineer to serve as a technical leader responsible for enabling scalable, high-rate production of complex aerospace and high-reliability hardware. This role will drive manufacturing strategy, production readiness, Assembly Integration & Test (AI&T), and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring products meet stringent quality, reliability, cost, and delivery objectives.

    The successful candidate will partner closely with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Production teams to transition products from development into repeatable, production-ready manufacturing environments.

     

    Key Responsibilities

    Manufacturing Leadership & Production Strategy

    Serve as the manufacturing owner for complex components, assemblies, and products across multiple programs.Develop and implement manufacturing strategies that support production scalability, cost objectives, and delivery commitments.Lead capacity planning, production scaling, workflow optimization, and line balancing initiatives.Support the transition of products from development into full-rate manufacturing.

    Assembly, Integration & Test (AI&T)

    Lead planning and execution of Assembly, Integration & Test activities for mechanical and electromechanical systems.Establish standardized integration and testing methodologies to improve repeatability, throughput, and manufacturing efficiency.Support module-level and system-level testing activities.

    Design for Manufacturing (DFM) & Product Readiness

    Provide manufacturing input throughout product development and formal design reviews.Lead Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and Design for Test (DFT) initiatives.Evaluate manufacturing readiness and approve production configurations, processes, and engineering documentation.Collaborate with engineering teams to improve producibility, quality, and cost efficiency.

    Manufacturing Process Development

    Documentation & Manufacturing Systems

    Production Floor Support

    Supply Chain & Production Readiness

    Partner with Supply Chain and Procurement teams to ensure material availability supports production demand.Support inventory planning, material tracking, receiving inspection, and production readiness activities.Identify and mitigate risks related to suppliers, material shortages, and lead-time constraints.

    Technical Leadership & Mentorship

    Required Qualifications
