    Overview

    Princeton University is seeking an experienced Reporting and Analytics Lead to drive readiness, planning, and implementation of reporting for a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system across Human Capital Management (HCM), Finance, and Academic (Student) systems. This role will provide functional and technical expertise for data and reporting within modern cloud-based ERP systems and will establish the ERP reporting strategy, define requirements, and successfully deliver self-service reporting from within the ERP. This critical role will ensure that ERP reporting fits within Princeton's overall data strategy including reporting best practices and data governance.

    The ERP Reporting and Analytics Lead will work closely with the ERP Program team, functional units, reporting users, and implementation consultants to deliver ERP reporting aligned with functional objectives.

    This is a 2 year, benefits-eligible term appointment with a possibility of transitioning to an ongoing position after funding approval.

    This position is hybrid role.



    Responsibilities

    Reporting Strategy and Leadership:

    Working with the readiness consulting partner, UDO, functional and Information Technology (IT) leaders, define the ERP reporting strategy and approach, aligning with institutional data strategy and related initiatives including the Analytics HubIncorporate the reporting strategy into ERP planning, reporting readiness, and implementation activities across ERP modules and business processesDirect the gathering, analysis, and prioritization of reporting requirements from stakeholders and functional teams to develop an ERP reporting implementation roadmapCollaborate with UDO colleagues, data stewards, and implementation partners to establish data collection and quality standards in support of ERP conversion and reporting, design master data, structure and taxonomy that represents the institution and enables roll up reporting, develop role-based access models for reporting, and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines

    Reporting Management and Implementation:

    Lead the creation and maintenance of a prioritized future state reporting inventory based on the ERP reporting roadmapLead and guide an ERP project reporting sub-team, including functional analysts and report developers (internal and consulting), to design and develop reports and dashboards within the ERP software to support operational and management reporting for business process and user needsEstablish and implement quality control for all ERP report development activities, ensuring accuracy and alignment with functional objectives as well as on-time deliveryProactively identify and resolve ERP reporting issues, risks, and dependenciesMentor ERP reporting developers, providing skills development to ensure consistent application of the report development lifecycle across ERP modules including report and dashboard design standards; accessing ERP data structures for report development, all phases of testing including user acceptance testing; and effective knowledge transfer from implementation partnersEnsure compliance with institutional data governance, security, and privacy standards

    Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:

    Communicate ERP reporting concepts, requirements, and updates to stakeholders at all levels of the organizationWorking with implementation partners, delivering training to ERP report developers in the functional units, and users of ERP self-service reporting at implementationStay current with ERP reporting tools and industry best practices to continuously improve reporting capabilities

    Qualifications

    7+ years of demonstrated experience implementing ERP reporting from readiness, requirements, implementation, through go-liveAt least 4 years recent experience delivering cloud ERP reporting using native ERP reporting tools (e.g. Oracle Cloud ERP, Workday, or similar cloud ERP platforms)Expertise with current cloud-based ERP data structures and native reporting toolsProven experience leading reporting project teams in the design and implementation of self-service reporting for enterprise ERP initiatives including training and mentoring report developers across ERP functionsStrong background in information architecture, best practice reporting methodology and standardsKnowledge of data governance including quality standards, security and access models, and compliance requirementsDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively (both verbally and in writing) and collaborate with a diverse set of stakeholders including functional, technical, management and end-usersStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility and desire to work in a rigorous, collaborative, project-based environmentExperience with waterfall and agile project approachesWhen provided with access to personal, proprietary and/or otherwise confidential data, maintains such data in the strictest confidence and follows procedures to ensure privacy, security and proper use of dataEducation: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Recent experience implementing native reporting in Oracle Cloud or WorkdayExperience working on higher education ERP reporting implementations

    Overview

    The Technology Vendor Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the vendor management operations for the central IT portfolio of vendors. This includes working closely with many cross-functional teams and units (e.g. Procurement, Legal, IT, and Finance) to provide guidance and input on technology vendor management items (e.g. negotiations, risk management, contract management, etc). This position will have responsibility for the vendor management lifecycle process and be a key member of the IT Finance team. The Technology Vendor Manager will also work to monitor and improve contract management, relationship management, risk management, and performance management with the IT vendors.



    Responsibilities

    Technology Vendor Management:

    Create, modify, and maintain the vendor management processesLead the vendor classification processLead the development of the IT vendor management strategyCoordinate risk management activities (measuring, monitoring, managing, and reporting)Participate in the review process of invoices to ensure they align with the agreed vendor terms and conditionsCreate and maintain the IT vendor management documentation, including vendor tracking, analytics, performance management tools (scorecards and dashboards)Collect detailed information to create reports and key vendor data for stakeholders on vendor performance, risk, and relationshipsAnalyze and create reports on critical vendors' financials, business continuity, and corporate and regulatory compliance

    Financial Management

    Participate in the management of the DocuSign license and work closely with the OIT department that is responsible for managing the toolWork closely with the central IT finance team to ensure alignment with upcoming contract renewals and new purchasesWork on other special projects and assignments as needed.

    Qualifications

    5+ years of vendor management experience (e.g Microsoft, HPE Networking, Salesforce)Excellent customer service skills and significant work experience in customer-based settingSubstantial experience using MS Office Suite software, especially Word, Excel, OutlookStrong attention to detailEffective time management skillsStrong communication skillsAbility to work in a team setting as well as independentlyEducation: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

    Preferred qualifications:

    Experience with SharePoint and Peoplesoft strongly preferredExperience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI
