    Pride Health is hiring a Accessioner I to support our client’s medical facility in McKees Rocks, PA 15136. This is a 3-month assignment with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity and it's a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!



    Job Title: Accessioner

    Location: McKees Rocks, PA 15136

    Duration: 3 Months

    Pay range: $19per hour - $20.22per hour

    Schedule: Monday - Friday 4Pm - 1AM


    Job Description

    Receive, verify, and triage laboratory specimens for clinical testing.

    Accurately accession and document patient samples within the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).

    Ensure proper labeling, handling, and storage of specimens according to laboratory protocols.

    Perform internal audits and review clinical documentation for completeness and accuracy.

    Maintain compliance with laboratory safety, quality assurance, and regulatory standards.

    Collaborate with laboratory personnel and other departments to support testing accuracy and workflow efficiency.

    Identify and resolve specimen-related issues, including missing information or labeling discrepancies.

    Maintain organized records and ensure timely specimen processing to meet testing deadlines.


    Education & Experience

    0–2 years of laboratory, healthcare, or specimen processing experience preferred.

    Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or a related field preferred.

    Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

    Key Responsibilities

    Duties:
    • Support anaesthesia care providers during invasive monitoring, vascular procedures, and regional Anesthesie techniques.
    • Assemble and prepare anaesthesia supplies and equipment for procedures.
    • Assist with patient transport to Recovery and ICU units including preparation of oxygen sources and transport monitors.
    • Disassemble, decontaminate, and prepare aesthetic and monitoring equipment following infection control standards and standard precautions.
    • Assist with patient laboratory testing, blood product verification, and monitoring support.
    • Set up and calibrate anaesthesia machines, ETCO2 and SPO2 monitors, invasive/non-invasive blood pressure monitoring equipment, and infusion pumps.
    • Support airway management procedures including rapid sequence intubation and preparation of Glidescope/fiber optic equipment.
    • Assist with arterial line, CVP, and PA catheter placement using aseptic technique.
    • Perform ACT analysis, glucose testing, and assist with intra-aortic balloon pump methods.
    • Maintain familiarity with cardiac rhythms, hemodynamics, and cardiac calculations.
    • Participate in staff education related to anesthesia equipment, procedures, and supplies.


    Requirements:
    • High School Diploma – Required.
    • Washington State Registration – Required.
    • Active BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certifications – Required.
    • Successful completion of the CWH Operating Room Anaesthesia Tech training program within the first 90 days of employment – Required.
    • Knowledge of anaesthesia equipment, invasive monitoring, airway management, and hemodynamic monitoring.
    • Ability to work variable shifts and participate in on-call rotations.
    • Strong understanding of infection control principles and aseptic techniques.
    • Experience with anaesthesia machines, infusion pumps, ventilators, and monitoring systems preferred.

    Job Summary:
    The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for the decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and maintenance of surgical instruments and equipment, ensuring every item meets the highest standards of safety, quality, and infection control.

    Job Responsibilities:
    -Follow all ANSI/AAMI standards, manufacturer Instructions for Use (IFUs), SOPs, and company Work Instructions.
    -Decontaminate used surgical instruments and equipment using proper PPE and protocols.
    -Disassemble, clean, and reassemble complex surgical instruments as required.
    -Accurately assemble and package instrument trays and sets per guidelines.
    -Operate washers, sterilizers, and other processing equipment safely and effectively.
    -Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and damage prior to packaging.

    Skills:

    Required Skills & Experience:
    -Hands-on experience in sterile processing, demonstrating proficiency in decontamination, assembly, and sterilization procedures.
