Job Title: Reimbursement Specialist

Key Responsibilities
Monitor insurance claim status and perform follow-up on unpaid, rejected, denied, or returned claims.Research and resolve billing discrepancies, denials, and reimbursement issues with commercial and managed care payers.Maintain accurate documentation of account activity, claim follow-up, and collection efforts.Work closely with clearinghouses, insurance companies, and internal teams to ensure timely payment resolution.Handle high-volume collections activities with strong attention to detail and urgency.Analyze account balances and determine appropriate actions for claim resolution and reimbursement recovery.Communicate professionally with payers and vendors regarding billing inquiries and payment issues.Utilize EMR and billing systems to update account information and manage workflow efficiently.Assist with billing-related reporting, audits, and additional revenue cycle projects as needed.
Requirements
Minimum 1 year of current billing and collections experience required.Strong collections and insurance follow-up experience required.Commercial payer experience required.Hospice or Medicare Part A experience preferred.Experience working with clearinghouses and insurance denials management preferred.Homecare Homebase or WellSky (Kinnser) experience is a plus.Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and follow-up skills required.Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks effectively.Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare billing workflows required.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, billing applications, and data entry systems required.Strong written and verbal communication skills required.

Required Education:
