Role Overview The Applications Architect will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing enterprise-level applications in a cloud-native environment . This role requires strong hands-on technical expertise along with architectural leadership, guiding the application lifecycle from concept through deployment while collaborating closely with business and technical stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Lead the architecture and design of scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud-native applications Participate hands-on in application development while enforcing best practices Design and implement microservices-based and distributed systems Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure architectural alignment and delivery excellence Required Qualifications 8+ years of experience in enterprise application architecture and development 10+ years of hands-on experience with Java EE , including strong expertise in Spring Boot Extensive experience designing and implementing microservices architectures Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Google Cloud) Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes Proficiency in API design and integration (REST, GraphQL) Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices , and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) Knowledge of cloud-native security best practices Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB) Hands-on exposure to event-driven architectures and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ) Familiarity with serverless computing and cloud-native services Strong understanding and practical application of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) Experience applying 12-Factor App methodology for SaaS applications Preferred Qualifications Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack Performance tuning and high-availability design experience Cloud cost optimization experience Prior healthcare or government project experience Experience with Texas or other state eligibility systems Strong consulting, facilitation, and stakeholder communication skills Proactive leadership style with strong attention to detail Cloud certifications such as: AWS Certified Solutions Architect Azure Solutions Architect Expert Google Professional Cloud Architect Additional Notes Candidates must pass a criminal background check as required by Texas law Any travel, parking, or related expenses are the responsibility of the candidate/vendor Occasional work outside normal business hours may be required with prior approval Overtime, if approved, will be paid at the quoted hourly rate If this opportunity aligns with your background and interest, I would appreciate you to apply with your updated resume PriceSenz is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
