What You'll Do
Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height) Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments Medication administration including injections, performs laboratory tests, operates EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations Performs administrative tasks, assists at the front desk, schedules appointments, makes follow-up calls, and orders medical supplies Performs other duties as assigned What You'll Bring National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not accepted Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required Previous Medical Assistant experience preferredWork-life balance is at the foundation of how decisions are made and where Premise is headed. What You'll Do

Maintains state RN licenses/certificates to practice Maintains Nurse Practitioner licenses/certificates to practice Maintains State Prescriptive Authority (if applicable) Federal DEA license (matching each state of practice as applicable) State Narcotic/Controlled Substance license if required in your state (Alabama, Connecticut, DC, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Utah, Wyoming, Puerto Rico) (New York ROPES registration) Current national certification (ANCC or AANP required) Master's Degree in Science of Nursing (if Master Degree in Science certificate does not state Nursing on it then a copy of transcripts is required) Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services At least three years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner in an ambulatory care, occupational health, family practice or emergency department settingWork-life balance is at the foundation of how decisions are made and where Premise is headed. Essential Functions:
Performs physical examinations and preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines and instructions of PhysicianPerforms therapeutic procedures such as injections, immunizations, suturing and wound care, and managing infection.Develops and implements patient management plans, records progress notes, provides home-going instructions, and assists in provision of continuity of care.Instructs and counsels patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens, normal growth and development, and health maintenance.Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' clinical problems and health care needsRecords physical findings, and formulates plan and prognosis, based on patient's condition.
