The Medical Assistant I is responsible for providing quality patient care in a team-based environment while assisting in all aspects of medical practice under direct supervision of a clinician to prepare and assist Premier Community HealthCare Group (PCHG) providers for patient visits. This role will partner with providers and office support to provide best-in-class experience and care to our patients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Facilitate patient visits and ensure patients are assisted in a timely manner and maintain high patient satisfaction.Clerical duties may include, but are not limited to, sending or receiving patient medical records; authorizations; obtaining lab/X-ray reports, hospital/specialists’ consultation notes, completing forms and requisitions as neededLab duties may include, but are not limited to, collecting blood, tissue or other laboratory specimens, logging the specimens, and preparing them for testingRooming and wrap-up duties may include, but are not limited to, recording medical information/history, taking vital signs/measurements, maintaining exam rooms, cleaning and sterilizing reuseable instrumentsMedication management duties may include, but are not limited to, medication administration, completing logbooks, and medication storage management.Procedural duties may include, but are not limited to, EKG, spot vision, OAE test, etc.Perform all duties according to policies and procedures set forth by PCHG while representing PCHG’s mission through behavior, language, and actions.Know peers within clinic and know where to find resources to perform duties. Reach out to Clinical Lead, Director of Nursing, Director of Risk & Compliance, and training department as needed.Perform only those functions for which Care Team Member is educationally prepared.Obtain proper competencies and strive to obtain further competencies such as lab draws, vaccine administration, and protocol-based medication refills. As competencies become proficient, the ability to provide appropriate coverage among multiple departments will be expected.Provide mentoring for new Care Team Members when requested.Ensure confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times.Keep other care team members informed when situations occur that disrupt timely patient flow through site.Contribute to community give back initiatives and be an advocate for Premier’s missionAdhere to patient care needs and the core values of Premier Community HealthCare to provide best-in-class patient experience.Work towards attaining department goals and drive Quality Improvement / Quality Assurance (QI/QA).Other duties as assigned.

Job Description – Pharmacy Technician
Location- New Port Richey, FL
General Description
The Pharmacy Technician works directly with patients to provide a best-in-class pharmacy experience while supporting the pharmacy team under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. This role performs a variety of technical and administrative duties in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations to ensure safe, accurate, and timely medication services.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Deliver excellent customer service and ensure patients are assisted in a timely, professional manner
• Answer phones promptly, assist within scope, and refer clinical questions to the pharmacist
• Assist pharmacists with preparation, filling, and dispensing of medications
• Ensure accuracy in medication dispensing using proper procedures and safety standards
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels and follow safe medication stocking practices
• Communicate updates on medication availability, shortages, and pricing to pharmacy staff
• Adjust priorities based on workload and pharmacist direction
• Process insurance claims, adjudication, and pre-authorizations in a timely manner
• Support 340B program requirements, inventory management, and point-of-sale (POS) systems
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure HIPAA compliance at all times
• Communicate issues that may impact patient flow or pharmacy operations
• Support community initiatives and promote Premier’s mission and values
• Participate in Quality Improvement / Quality Assurance (QI/QA) activities
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Basic understanding of the 340B Federal Program preferred
• Ability to obtain and maintain Epic certification and annual compliance training
