If you answered yes, then our Regional Quality Manager is the career opportunity for you.  Together with the Regional General Manager, Vice President – Manufacturing and Vice President – Quality & Technical Service you'll develop and execute actionable plan and priorities. 

    As the selected RQM, you will ensure that the region is: 

    Adhering to quality control plan, with specific parameters developed pursuant to customer demandsDriving compliance with process quality assurance protocolsEvaluating & implementing corrective actions Ensuring new technology is successfully implemented & embracedIdentifying opportunities to assist customers & provide value-added servicesPartnering with corporate resource to ensure ISO procedures are being implemented & followed

    What education, skills & experience will you need to take the regions quality to the next level?

    Bachelor’s Degree in Metallurgy and/or Material Sciences.
    Master’s in Metallurgy and/or Material Sciences Degree preferred.
    7-10 years progressive quality management experience in a coil coating setting and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    Blackbelt strongly preferred – will be required within 24 months of assuming the position.
    Professional demeanor.
    Communicates well with all levels of management.
    Ability to quickly learn new tasks.
    Must be flexible and able to balance priorities.
    Strong oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal/negotiation skills.
    Good organizational skills.
    Must be willing to work in a plant environment,

    Job Description

    We are seeking a results-driven Reliability Engineer to join our Engineering & Maintenance team to support the maintenance and reliability efforts across fourteen coil coating facilities. This individual will be responsible for driving equipment reliability improvements, reducing downtime, and optimizing asset performance by applying engineering methodologies, data analysis, and continuous improvement strategies. The ideal candidate brings strong problem-solving skills, technical expertise in heavy manufacturing, and a passion for sustainable, cost-effective operations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Reliability Improvement:Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) on critical equipment failures.Develop and implement proactive maintenance strategies, including preventive and predictive maintenance (PdM) programs.Monitor equipment performance metrics (MTBF, MTTR, OEE) and identify areas for reliability improvement.Assist facilities in managing critical spare parts programs.Assist facilities in the development and management of lubrication programs.Data Analysis & Reporting:Collect and analyze equipment and maintenance data to drive decision-making and track asset health.Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and reliability tools (e.g., vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis).Project Leadership:Lead reliability projects such as equipment upgrades, replacements, or process optimizations.Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams across multiple plant sites to align on best practices and standardization.Asset Management:Support capital asset lifecycle management including design for reliability (DfR) and maintenance planning.Review and refine equipment specifications, PM routines, and critical spare part strategies.Training & Culture:Train maintenance personnel on condition monitoring and reliability-centered maintenance techniques.Foster a reliability-focused culture by promoting awareness and accountability at all organizational levels.Participate in the selection and introductory training of new plant maintenance leadership personnelQualifications

    Education:
    Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or related field required. Reliability certifications (e.g., CMRP, CRE) preferred.Experience:
    Minimum 7 years of reliability or maintenance engineering experience in heavy manufacturing (e.g., steel, cement, pulp & paper, mining, etc.). Multi-plant or multi-site experience is a strong plus.Technical Skills:Proficient in RCA, FMEA, RCM, and Six Sigma methodologies.Familiarity with PdM technologies (vibration, ultrasound, IR thermography).

    Job Description

    The Product Quality Manager at our Greenfield, IN facility will have responsibility for planning, directing and coordinating the quality assurance program designed to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards.  The successful candidate will elevate our quality program to the next level.

     

    Responsibilities:

    Position Overview

    Precoat Metals is seeking an analytical, results-driven Indirect Materials Manager to lead enterprise-wide sourcing initiatives for indirect materials and services across 14 APM sites.

    This role combines strategic sourcing, commercial negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration to drive cost reduction, supplier performance, and operational efficiency. The position manages key indirect categories including MRO, pallets, cores, recycling streams, and scrap metal programs.

    In addition, the role provides oversight and coordination related to company-owned commercial properties in Columbia, South Carolina, primarily supporting vendor contracting and property management oversight.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned indirect spend categories including MRO, pallets, cores, waste, scrap metal, and related operational materials.
    • Analyze historical purchasing data and operational demand trends to identify sourcing opportunities, cost reduction initiatives, and process improvements.
    • Manage enterprise vendor relationships and contracts supporting indirect materials and services across all APM sites.
    • Manage scrap metal vendors and contracts across APM locations, ensuring competitive pricing, contract compliance, and revenue optimization.
    • Lead supplier bidding processes and RFP events for indirect materials and recycling programs.
    • Monitor scrap metal and recycling market conditions to support commercial negotiations and contract strategy.
    • Partner with plant leadership to improve material recovery processes, scrap segregation, and operational yield.
    • Initiate and manage negotiations for plant and corporate-level agreements.
    • Develop and maintain vendor performance metrics and conduct periodic supplier evaluations.
    • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, finance, and operations to support cost reduction and margin improvement initiatives.
    • Support capital justification and ROI analysis related to indirect sourcing and operational improvements.
    • Partner with Accounts Payable to ensure accurate invoice processing and contract compliance.
    • Lead process improvement initiatives including ERP or purchasing system enhancements where applicable.
    • Execute special projects and sourcing initiatives as assigned.

    Columbia, SC Property Coordination

    This role provides support related to company-owned commercial properties in Columbia, South Carolina. These responsibilities represent a small portion of the overall role and primarily involve vendor and contract coordination.

    • Oversee the commercial relationship with the property manager supporting company-owned properties in Columbia, SC.
    • Coordinate with the property manager and property tenants to ensure contracted maintenance and service work is completed as expected.
    • Assist with sourcing and contracting vendors providing maintenance, inspection, and facility-related services.
    • Monitor vendor performance and address service, cost, or contractual issues when necessary.
    • Coordinate vendor onboarding and purchasing processes related to property services.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree required.
    • 3–5+ years of experience in purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment.

You’ll have the opportunity to work with a team of experienced engineering professionals while managing your own projects as you develop and implement optimal, cost-effective manufacturing solutions on existing and new process lines for increased safety, quality, productivity, and cost savings.  This position allows you to grow your professional skillset while seeing the real-world results of your work.

    Responsibilities
    • Provides sound engineering principles for the implementation of new manufacturing equipment, processes and procedures.
    • Studies & recommends techniques to improve existing equipment and processes.
    • Coordinates design activities and installations with other departments.
    • Provide process line technical support including, but not limited to, investigating improvement opportunities, troubleshooting equipment, and addressing operator inquiries as requested.
    • Complete engineering calculations to validate implementation of new equipment or processes.
    • Represents engineering department on cross functional teams.
    • Prepares specifications for equipment and installation and secures bids from suppliers & contractors.
    • Analyzes equipment and contractor installation specifications.
    • Prepares layout & design drawings as required.
    • Requisitions material and equipment for capital projects.
    • Plans, schedules and supervises construction activities and participates in startup and evaluation of new equipment.
    • Prepares progress reports on capital projects.
    • Maintains engineering documentation including project files, datasheets, drawings, schematics, and revisions.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering degree.
    • 5+ years experience in process or manufacturing engineering.
    • Process and operations knowledge.

    • Excellent computer hardware and software applications knowledge
    • Data driven decision making; Effective use of process automation tools and IT
    • Thorough & organized
    • Confident and steady under pressure
    • Manufacturing Methods and Procedure 

    Must be able to travel up to 25% and be available to travel significantly while on larger projects.
