The Special Education Teacher will provide specialized instruction and support through one of two available programs at a charter school located just 3 miles from Boston. The first opening is for a High School Life Skills/Transition Program serving students ages 18-22, focused on preparing students for life after high school through transition services, job applications, employment readiness, money management, independent living skills, and functional academics.
The second opening is for a Pathway Program serving elementary students in grades K-4, where the teacher will develop individualized learning plans, monitor and assess student progress, and collaborate with educators and families to support academic, social, and emotional growth. Position Responsibilities
* Provide dedicated 1:1 nursing care to medically fragile students throughout the school day
* Ride the school bus with the student to and from school as part of the nursing assignment when required
* Monitor students' medical conditions, safety, and overall well-being
* Administer prescribed medications and treatments as directed
* Perform G-Tube feedings and other skilled nursing procedures as needed
* Observe and document any changes in student condition
* Maintain accurate and thorough nursing documentation and daily notes
* Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers to support student success
Qualifications
* Active Massachusetts RN
* Current CPR certification required
* Minimum of one (1) year of RN experience required
