This role exists due to continued production demand and the need to expand machining capacity across aerospace and defense programs.
In this position, you'll play a key role in producing highly engineered fasteners and precision components used in critical aerospace and industrial applications where quality, consistency, and reliability are essential.
The Work You'll Be Doing
In this role, you will:
Set up and operate CNC Mills, Lathes, or Swiss machines Run 2-5 axis CNC machines or automated machine cells Load, run, and adjust CNC programs, offsets, and tooling Prepare fixtures, set cutting tools, and verify workholding Operate multiple machines simultaneously (2-3 machines depending on workflow) Perform first-article and in-process inspections using standard measurement tools Read and interpret blueprints and basic GD&T requirements Replace tooling/inserts and perform minor machine adjustments Deburr parts and complete work order documentation per AS9100 standards Maintain a clean and organized work areaMachines, Controls & Software
Machines: CNC Mills, CNC Lathes, Swiss/Star Machines, automated machining cells
Controls: Fanuc, Haas, Mazatrol, Okuma OSP, CELOS
CAM Software: Exposure to Mastercam or similar (a plus)
Inspection Tools: Calipers, micrometers, height gauges, air gauges, bench inspection tools

Required:
2+ years of CNC machining experience (Level II-IV depending on skill level) Experience with CNC Mills, Lathes, or Swiss machines Ability to read blueprints and understand basic GD&T Experience with machine setups, tooling, and offsets Ability to inspect parts using standard inspection tools Familiarity with CNC G & M codes ITAR eligibility (U.S. Person required) High school diploma or GED Reliable, safety-minded, and team-orientedPreferred (Not Required):

Set up and operate CNC Lathes and automated machining cells (DMG Mori EcoTurn 450, DMG Mori NLX 2500/700, Hardinge, Takisawa) Prepare fixtures, load tooling, and set offsets for production runs Load, run, and make basic edits to CNC programs at the machine Run production and repeat jobs while maintaining quality standards Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using precision tools Adjust feeds, speeds, and offsets to maintain tolerances and part quality Read and interpret blueprints, shop travelers, and work instructions Verify prior operations are complete before starting new processes Troubleshoot basic machining or program issues as they arise Collaborate with supervisors, leads, and quality teams to ensure production goals are met
