    Prado & Renteria CPAs, Prof. Corp. is currently interviewing Experienced Auditors to join our Staff. In this position, you will participate in various audit engagements and special projects, contribute to team building, and build trusted relationships with clients.

     

    Responsibilities:

    Develops an understanding of the business and the Experienced Role.Enhance technical skills at the Experienced Level, both on the job and through formal learning channels.Works as an effective team member to complete project components and assignment tasks.Builds working relationships at peer client level.Seeks to gain knowledge of client businesses.Effectively documents work.As a member of the team, implements solutions for clients.Identifies task issues as well as task progress in a timely and organized manner.Participates in office wide initiativesActively pursues self-development opportunities in line with the competency model. (See Human Resources for Competency Model for your role)Builds strong team relationship skills.Master a variety of audit and special procedures, including:Tests of complex account balances and transactions.Analyze processes and transactions to determine compliance with policies and/or applicable regulations.Prepare work papers to ensure sufficiency of documentation and evidence to support conclusions.Document and evaluate internal controls.Identify and prepare recommendations based on audit findings for presentation to management.Proactively communicate with client staff to gather information and resolve audit issues.Actively participate in firm-wide projects, training programs (internal and external), networking, and other firm initiatives.

     

    Qualifications:

    Responsibilities
    Employee Technology Support

    Serve as the first point of contact for internal IT questions and user-related issues.Respond to IT issues; hardware maintenance, software, networking, etc.Provide helpdesk and technical support either by phone, remote access, or site visits.Under the direction of the IT Consultant, sets up equipment for new users & employees, and sets up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (desktops, mouse, keyboards, routers, printers, etc.).Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment.Sets up users on PCS, keycard system, Zoom, etc.Troubleshoot software and equipment, including printers and copiers; keeping them stocked with paper and in working order. Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair and/or replace parts, debugging, etc.).Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance, ensuring minimal disruptions.Check computer hardware (HDD, mouses, keyboards etc.) to ensure functionality on a semi-annual basis (End of Quarter 2 and Quarter 4).Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes, as well as the maintenance schedule.Under the direction of the CFO/Firm Administrator, maintains equipment & inventory, including:Maintains and updates firm systems logs and equipment inventory.Ensures oversight of warranties and determines the extendibility of warranties.Identifies computer or network equipment shortages and places orders.Coordinates with the Admin Assistant on all office equipment.

    WHAT YOU BRING

    Qualifications

    1-2 years of experience in a technical support, helpdesk, administrative, or customer-facing role.Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn new systems quickly.

    Skills & Competencies:

    Ability to serve as the IT Liaison to manage employees’ IT issues and provide orientation and guidance.Ability to organize and schedule upgrades/maintenance without deterring others from completing their work.Knowledge of setting up workstations, installing/configuring software, and maintaining peripheral devices (printers, copiers, routers, etc)Ability to maintain systems logs and equipment inventory

    Prado & Renteria is growing, and we're looking for a Senior Auditor who enjoys building client relationships, mentoring staff, and delivering high-quality audit services.

    Senior Auditor

    The Senior Auditor, primarily as a leader of a team (normally 1-3 Auditors), is responsible for accomplishing all aspects of assigned engagements. The Senior Role oversees audit staff during attest and consulting engagements. The Senior Auditor is able to work with limited supervision.

    What You'll Do

    Lead Audit Engagements

    Oversees audit planning, field work, and audit reporting; prepare reports, and communicate findings and recommendations to line and senior management.Develops budgets and timelines for engagements.Understands and able to distinguish and apply the standards applicable to the scope and type of engagement (i.e., GAAS, GAGAS, SSAE, UG ...).General planning workpaper documentation integrates the elements of planning required by the applicable standards (i.e., independence, continuing professional education, risk assessment, audit work programs, examination/AUP procedures).Efficiently and effectively applies the Risk Assessment methodology to engagements.As part of Risk Assessment, identify engagement risks, including risk of material misstatement, whether due to fraud or error.

    Manage Fieldwork

    Review automated audit work papers prepared by the audit staff to ensure alignment with audit programs and compliance with the Firm’s methodology.Ensures that engagements are completed in compliance with the applicable standards.Communicate audit status to management on regular basis.

    Reporting & Client Communication

    Identifies and includes sufficient documentation to support conclusions regarding findings and exceptions. Coordinate with the team to review audit findings.Analyzes and resolves audit issues in a timely fashion.Prepares reports with audit findings and recommendations.Discusses with management about audit observations, recommendations, and actions to be takenPrepares report drafts that result in minimal review comments from management.

    Client Relationship Management

    Performs risk assessment procedures and concludes on the sufficiency of the engagement testing and documentation.Addresses and documents responses to all review comments in a timely manner.Completes tasks within timeframes by effectively planning & organizing own work effort.

    Productivity

    Understands performance expectations and manages own and others’ work to meet those expectations.Aim to achieve an agreed utilization rate by communicating regularly with Managers on availability and assignment progress.

    Technical Knowledge/Firm Systems

    Further build a depth of knowledge and understanding of tools, systems and processes (within discipline) and practical application (includes Advance Flow, PPC tools & other CPA firms’ systems such as CaseWare).Follow the firm’s systems and processes and apply them effectively (i.e., Humanforce HR, PracticeCS).

    Client Service

    Visit clients on-site and be a point of contact for the client throughout the year.Manage day-to-day client relationships.Take responsibility for quality client service.

    People Development and Teamwork

    Actively pursue learning and development opportunities in line with the competency model.Build a strong rapport with Auditors/Accountants and guide and coach them in their learning.

    Qualifications

    Professional audit certifications preferred (CPA is a plus)BS Degree (required)Must be capable of presenting results to line and/or senior management/partners.

    Skills

    Good analytical, interpersonal, time management, research, and communication skills.Demonstrated technical abilities in select areas (audit, accounting, regulatory, compliance, etc.)
