You operate with a big heart, not only providing personalized and attentive care but by building genuine relationships with those you serve. You are detail-oriented, highly organized, and committed to creating a healthy environment that meets patient needs. Strong verbal and written communication skills are needed to succeed in this role.
    Responsibilities Assist patients with daily activities such as moving in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, or automobilesProvide attentive personal care and companionshipCare for patients by changing bed linens, doing laundry, cleaning the home, and assisting with personal hygiene and groomingPrepare meals and assist with feeding when neededRun errands such as grocery shopping, picking up prescriptions, and attending appointmentsMaintain records of patient care, condition, progress, or problems to report observations to the supervisorBuild positive relationships with patients by conversing, reading aloud, or engaging in meaningful activities to keep them mentally healthy and alertProvide medication remindersAssist with mobility, transfers, and light exercisesMonitor patient safety and overall well-beingAssist with toileting and incontinence care when necessarySupport patients with daily routines and independent living skillsEscort clients to appointments or community activities when neededProvide light housekeeping and homemaker services to maintain a safe and comfortable environmentOffer emotional support and companionship to clients and families
