    What You'll Do:

    Create detailed 3D models and drawings of sheet metal panels, structural supports, barriers, and bus assemblies using CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor).
    Ensure all designs align with manufacturability, client specifications, safety, and regulatory requirements.
    Collaborate closely with electrical designers to accurately integrate structural and copper bus elements into client drawing packages.
    Partner cross-functionally with project management, manufacturing, sales, estimating, and field service to support project execution and resolve technical issues.
    Prepare bills of materials, assembly drawings, and cut sheets to support manufacturing in a timely and efficient manner.
    Reduce cycle time by reusing or adapting existing designs where applicable.
    Contribute to design reviews and process improvements that enhance quality, reduce costs, and improve reliability.
    Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less-experienced designers when needed.

    Qualifications

    Education & Certification

    High School Diploma or GED, Required.
    Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, preferred.

    Experience

    5+ years of mechanical design experience in a switchgear, electrical equipment, or heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
    Proficiency with CAD design tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor) required.
    Experience preparing parts lists, bills of materials, and assembly drawings for manufacturing.

    Technical Skills & Knowledge

    Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, sheet metal fabrication, and machining.

    What You'll Need:


    Education & Experience

    Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
    5+ years of quality assurance experience in a manufacturing environment.
    Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, Lean, Six Sigma, and CAPA processes.
    Experience leading audits, root cause analysis, and process improvements.

    Skills & Abilities

    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; data-driven approach.
    Proven leadership and team development experience.
    Excellent communication and collaboration skills across functions.
    Proficiency with quality management software and reporting tools.


    Supervisory Responsibilities

    Work EnvironmentOffice-based with frequent visits to the production floor.
    Exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, heat, and equipment; PPE required (safety glasses, ear protection, steel-toed boots).
    Ability to move around the plant, climb stairs, and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
    Flexibility to work beyond 40 hours per week, including weekends or holidays, based on project needs.

    What You'll Do

    Ensure necessary materials, hardware, and shop supplies are available to maintain seamless production.
    Apply knowledge of NEMA ratings and material properties to meet project requirements.

    Contribute ideas for process improvements and quality enhancements.


    What You'll Need

    High School Diploma or GED required.2–5 years in fabrication or manufacturing preferred.
    Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
    Mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand and power tools (air impact, ratchet, wrenches, sockets, etc.).
    Strong attention to detail and quality.
    Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
    Self-motivated, able to identify and resolve issues independently.
    Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
    Physical stamina and dexterity for lifting, carrying, and assembling parts.
