    Summary:
    The Registered Dietitian is responsible for the assessment and planning of the nutritional care of the residents in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, policies, and procedures, and in coordination with the Food Service Director/Manager to ensure that qualify food service and nutritional care is provided to the residents.

    Qualifications:Education:Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field.

    Licenses/Certification:

    Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association.License or certification as mandated by the state in which employed.ServSafe Food Safety Certification preferred.Experience:Experience in long-term care environment and geriatric nutrition preferred.

    Job Functions:

    Maintains clinical nutrition documentation for residents in accordance with Nursing Center policy and procedure, as well as state and federal regulations.Ensures that all assessments and progress notes documented in the medical records are accurate, informative, and descriptive of the services provided and of the resident’s response to the plan of care.Ensures all documentation is completed within the required timeframes and in accordance with Nursing Center policy and procedure, as well as state and federal regulations.Participates with the interdisciplinary team in developing, implementing, and evaluating plans of care; attends meetings/conferences to discuss the clinical care of the resident; and communicates resident concerns and response to interventions to interdisciplinary team members and direct care staff.Involves the resident/family in planning objectives and goals for the resident.Coordinates with the Food Service Director/Manager the review and customization of the regular and therapeutic menus to meet the food preferences of the residents in accordance with established policies, procedures, Diet Manual guidelines, standard of practice, and regulations and to ensure that all diets ordered by the physician are planned on the therapeutic menu.Provides feedback and suggestions to improve the menu.Monitors food temperatures and quality at point of service.Monitors the distribution of nourishments, supplements, and meals to residents and takes corrective action when necessary.Assists the Food Service Director/Manager with processing diet orders and changes and ensuring that an accurate tray card is available for each resident receiving meals.Ensures that new residents are visited upon admission to obtain a Diet History and food preferences, on the company approved form.Routinely inspects the food service area(s) and practices.Participates in the long-term care survey process. Assists the Food Service Director/Manager with purchasing decisions for food, supplies, equipment, etc. and with training Nutrition Services employees.Performs other duties as assigned.

    Summary:The Maintenance Crew performs basic activities related to maintenance and upkeep of building and grounds.

    Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Experience:One year experience in building maintenance.

    Job Functions:

    Performs routine maintenance and repair required to keep the building and equipment in good working order.Monitors building and equipment renovations, remodeling or replacement projects done by contractors.Under supervision, maintains and repairs HVAC, refrigerators, boilers, washers and dryers, and other equipment.Participates in painting, redecorating, carpentry, concrete and masonry projects.Conducts and documents routine inspection of fire control equipment and sprinkler systems.Maintains weekly facility log of domestic hot water temperature, generator checklist, monthly fire alarm system testing and sprinkler pressure, for survey and safety compliance.Coordinates/documents monthly fire drills.Inspects grounds and cuts grass, trims, and takes other appropriate action.Performs other tasks as assigned.

    Summary:

    The Dietary Aide assists with the preparation and service of food using proper food handling and food safety techniques for residents, as well as employees and special events, while maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

    Qualifications:

    Education:

    Tenth grade or above desirable

    Licenses/Certification:

    ServSafe Food Safety Certification preferred, or other food safety certification as required in state or county of facility.

    Experience:

    Experience in food service desired.

    Job Functions:

    Prepares and/or pre-portions food (such as beverages, salads, desserts, and other items) for regular and therapeutic diets according to the planned menu for meals and snacks, as well as employees and special events using proper food handling/safety techniques.Utilizes standardized recipes to prepare menu items and ensures that food is served in an attractive, appetizing manner.Ensures that meals and snacks are delivered to designated areas according to established time schedules.Ensures that the proper quantity of food is prepared and/or pre-portioned within established time schedules.Maintains the proper temperature of food during preparation and service and records temperatures of food.Serves resident meals/snacks accurately in accordance with the planned menu, the resident’s diet order, and food preferences.Labels, dates, and stores food properly.Ensures that refrigerator/freezer temperatures are within the appropriate range and records temperatures on appropriate logs and reports any discrepancies to the supervisor.Washes dishes, etc. according to established procedures for manual and/or automatic dishwashing and records water temperatures and/or sanitizer on designated logs. Reports any problems with proper water temperature or sanitizer to the supervisor in a timely manner.Keeps work area clean and uncluttered during preparation and service of food and performs cleaning assignments utilizing the proper cleaning chemicals.Ensures that dishes, etc. are readily available for the next meal, stores dishes, etc. in the proper location.Assists in receiving, storing, and verifying invoices for incoming food, supplies, etc. as indicated by the supervisor.Ensures that an adequate supply of food, supplies, etc. is always available. Reports inadequate stock levels to the supervisor in a timely manner.Operates and maintains equipment in a clean and safe operating condition according to manufacturer and supervisory direction and reports all equipment problems to supervisor promptly.Makes recommendations to the supervisor regarding improvements in recipes, menus, production and service of food, equipment, etc. to enhance the quality of the food service.Works as a team member and interacts appropriately in a positive manner with residents, families, and visitors.Performs other tasks as assigned.
