    Job Summary

    The Med/Surg & SCU Manager is responsible for the overall administration of the Med/Surg and Special Care Unit at Pomerene Hospital. Duties include managing the day-to-day operations as well as developing, monitoring and maintaining standards and practices that enhance patient care and meet regulatory requirements. Additionally, the Med/Surg & SCU Manager is responsible for overseeing the HR function, quality initiatives, fiscal management and performance management of the units.

    Essential Functions

    Moves throughout the facility as needed, appropriately assists in emergency drills and situations, and demonstrates the physical, clinical, and professional capacity to lead the unit as described in the tasks and duties of this position.Formulates and executes a strategic business plan for the unit, communicates the plan to the unit, and analyzes the plan to identify gaps and adjust.Responsible for patient care and overseeing patient care activities for Med/Surg and SCU.Acts as a liaison with other departments, leaders, and physicians to ensure optimal care is provided.Maintains high standards for professional nursing practice as shown through professional development and leading by example.Performs all leadership tasks and duties of this position according to hospital and unit policy and procedure.Demonstrates commitment to Pomerene Hospital’s Values.

    We are looking for a full-time LPN or Medical Assistant to join our Surgery Office team. Working hours for this position are Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm.

    Position Summary:

    The LPN/Medical Assistant will demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide safe, timely, effective, quality, age appropriate, culture appropriate, cost conscious, evidenced based care while utilizing the nursing process and holistic patient care. This includes, but is not limited to, assisting and obtaining patient vitals, charting, assessments, ordering tests, administering medications, drawing blood, EKG's, giving vaccinations, educating patients and calling in prescriptions. The LPN/Medical Assistant will utilize the nursing process to provide nursing care on an individualized basis according to organizational policies and procedures.     Position Summary

    The CT/Radiological Technologist is responsible for the overall operation of the CT scanner including patient care while producing quality CT images and quality control. At times when not needed in CT, the CT/Radiological Technologist will work as a registered staff technologist in general radiology (mammography or bone density, if applicable). This position is also responsible for clinical instruction of radiography students completing rotations in the Radiology Department.

    Job Summary

    Job Summary
