The LED Systems Integrator will collaborate with the System Integrator and Design Integrator to design, draft, prepare and install low voltage lighting systems for CTE projects.
Essential FunctionsCoordinates with System Integrator and Design Coordinator on planning, designing, and drafting of low voltage systems for projects.Collaborates with System integrator and estimator on establishing a BOM for a complete low voltage lighting system for project needs.Supervises shop preparation of materials and tools that need assembled, programmed, and packed prior to arriving onsite.Supports building and maintaining drafting file library while utilizing and maintaining VLS drawings standards.Aids in building and maintaining a database of manuals, service documents, and documented information on lighting systems.Collaborate on building processes and standards for design and installation of low voltage lighting systems.Supervises and assists in installing low voltage lighting systems on project sites.Train clients on installed system, document the training, and submit the documentation to the project manager.Assists the Site Operations manager and field service manager with Interfacing with clients and other contractors for project coordination purposes.Assists in training new team members in best installation practices and safety standards to maintain high standards.Attend project meetings as needed.Other FunctionsFrequent Travel may be required, including nights and weekends.Reports to the Director of professional services.Collaborates with project management, sales, estimation, project installers, drafting to assist in designing and implementing low voltage systems.Attend meetings as assigned.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications and EducationDegree in technical theater, or a related field, or experience in related industry preferred.Have a valid Driver’s License.Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.Must be able to pass local, state, federal background checks as required by projects.Knowledge of electrical power systems, dimming and control, theatrical lighting, entertainment lighting equipmentPreferred experience with architectural lighting systems- ETC, Strand, CueServer.Preferred experience with Microsoft 365, AutoCAD, Vectorworks, Revit, Bluebeam, Paradigm, and MosaicAt VLS, our core values guide everything we do:
