Sales Development Representative (SDR)
Platform9 is seeking an ambitious and driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our growing sales team. You will be at the forefront of Platform9's revenue engine, responsible for identifying and qualifying new business opportunities across Enterprise and Mid-Market segments. You will thrive in this role if you are organized, persistent, charismatic, and hard-working, with a genuine interest in enterprise technology and its business implications.
Your primary objective is to find customer projects that are a strong fit for Platform9's private cloud solutions and build the qualified pipeline that fuels our Account Executives. This is a fully remote position with occasional travel to industry events, conferences, and team gatherings.
Prospecting & Pipeline GenerationExecute high-volume, multi-channel outbound prospecting via cold calling, email, LinkedIn, and other social selling channels to generate qualified meetings and opportunities for Account Executives.Handle inbound customer inquiries across email and phone, qualifying leads against our ideal customer profile and routing them appropriately.Research and identify target accounts across Enterprise and Mid-Market segments, building account maps and identifying key stakeholders and decision-makers.Accurately create, update, and maintain lead records in Hubspot.Consistently achieve quarterly and annual targets for qualified meetings and Opportunities.Collaboration & CampaignsCollaborate closely with Marketing and Sales Enablement to execute targeted, persona-specific, multi-channel outreach campaigns aligned to current market trends and messaging.Work directly with your Manager and Account Executive partners to align on territory coverage, account prioritization, and messaging strategy.Participate in defining and refining SDR processes, playbooks, and best practices as we scale the team.Liaise with new and existing customers to set up and attend discovery meetings, actively qualifying new opportunities.Stay current on the enterprise private cloud and virtualization landscape, including competitor activity, market trends, and Platform9's evolving product roadmap, to engage prospects with relevant, informed conversations.What We're Looking For1+ years of experience in a Sales Development, Business Development, or Inside Sales role, ideally within an Enterprise Software or SaaS environment.A track record of meeting or exceeding quotas.Hands-on experience with modern sales tools such as HubSpot, ZoomInfo, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling, persona-specific outreach.Result-driven mindset with persistence, resilience, and an over-achiever spirit.Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage a high volume of outreach activities without letting prospects fall through the cracks.Passion for technology and its business implications, curiosity about how enterprise infrastructure and cloud solutions solve real-world problems.Positive attitude, team oriented, and a self-starter.Highly motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced team environment and is readily adaptable to changing market and organizational requirementsMust be authorized to work in the United States.Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.Why Platform9
