    Production Shift Supervisor What makes us strong? Position type: Non-Exempt Mi-Tech Tungsten Metals is hiring a production shift supervisor. The supervisor will be responsible for communicating job expectations, appraising job results, coaching and counseling employees as needed. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in milling and precision machining, understanding the processes. Responsibilities: Interface with team members on a daily basis and act as the first line of command in resolving problems and maintaining efficient, orderly workflow Ensuring on-time delivery, management of the flow of materials/parts and control of inventory Coordinate workloads and department schedules Adherence to product and customer specifications Supervises assigned employees and conveys Management's expectations and direction. Will oversee scheduling, training, directing, and motivating assigned employees and making recommendations to Management on their behalf Qualifications: Associates degree in a technical field of studies or equivalent education-preferred; will consider HS Diploma/GED with experience At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment Two years of Supervisory experience preferred or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Position type: Hourly Responsibilities Studies work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, reference planes, locations of surfaces and machining parameters, interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD items that require different or compound indexing; multiple lead and various other non-standard screw threads; helical or other types of gears, worm threads; or surfaces closely interrelated dimensions or complex configurations that usually require special adaption or extension of the use of conventional machine tools. Perform machining operations on CNC machine tools including shop floor programming and using such procedures as multiple setups, in place machining of fixtures, debugging first run programs and making or suggesting changes to machine tool program. Qualifications CNC Machinist Level 2 or 3 Machine type Okuma, Fanuc and Okuma controls. Ability to set up and operate standard CNC lathes machines.
