A Teacher, Student Services - Career Technical Education (CTE) is responsible to the County Superintendent and works under the direct supervision of the designated manager(s). A Teacher, Student Services - CTE is part of a professional learning team that provides high quality instruction and support to Placer County students.
***This position works Monday through Thursday from 12:45 pm - 4:45 pm. on a 185 day work calendar with a 74 workday equivalency (.4 FTE x 185 days = 74 days).***
Requirements / QualificationsPlacer County Office of Education (PCOE) is seeking a dynamic, innovative part-time Career Technical Education (CTE) instructor for iLearn Academy to develop and deliver engaging courses for middle school students (grades 6–8). This position is responsible for designing and implementing hands-on, project-based curriculum across multiple CTE pathways—including culinary arts, multimedia production, computer programming, and robotics—that introduce students to real-world skills and career exploration. The role also includes facilitating student leadership group. Classes are held on-campus.
-Must possess or have the ability to obtain a California Designated Subjects Career Technical Education teaching credential in the appropriate industry sector.
-Must possess or have the ability to obtain an English Learner Authorization.
-High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
-CBEST or must pass PCOE proficiency exam.
If hired, must provide proof of a valid California driver's license.

Provides support to assist special education certificated teaching staff with instructing and assisting students having a variety of complex communicative or physical disabilities and performs a variety of general classroom assistance duties.
Requirements / Qualifications-Must currently have or must obtain CPR/First Aid certification within 30 days of employment.
-Paid or volunteer experience in the teaching, care, and assistance with students with special needs.

1. Completion of 60 Semester Units (2 years of study) at an institution of higher education
2. Possession of an Associate's Degree or Higher

a. Math knowledge will consist of basic fractions, percentages, word problems, etc.. (equal to that of a high school student requirement)
b. Reading/Writing will consist of comprehension, proper language, etc (equal to that of a high school student requirement)

The Behavior Support Assistant is responsible to the County Superintendent and works under the direct supervision of the designated manager(s). A Behavior Support Assistant gathers and charts data related to student behavior and models behavior intervention strategies, and assists classroom staff and instructional support staff in the implementation of individual student's Behavior Support Plans (BSP) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) utilizing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) methodologies. The Behavior Support Assistant is responsible to the County Superintendent and works under the direct supervision of the designated manager(s). A Behavior Support Assistant gathers and charts data related to student behavior and models behavior intervention strategies, and assists classroom staff and instructional support staff in the implementation of individual student's Behavior Support Plans (BSP) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) utilizing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) methodologies. Provides support to assist teaching staff with instructing and assisting students having communicative or physical disabilities. Performs a variety of general classroom assistance duties.
Requirements/ QualificationsApplication packets must contain the following to be considered complete:
-Proof of High school diploma or equivalent
-Proof of current Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Certificate (if you do not hold this certification, you must obtain it within six (6) months of employment)
-Proof of CPR/First Aid Certification (if you do not hold this certification, you must obtain it within 30 days of employment)
Pursuant to current Ed. Code 45330, this position requires one of the following to qualify for the position:
1. Completion of 60 Semester Units (2 years of study) at an institution of higher education
2. Possession of an Associate's Degree or Higher
3. Passing of a local assessment in Reading/Writing and Mathematics (which will be conducted on the day of the interview)
a. Math knowledge will consist of basic fractions, percentages, word problems, etc.. (equal to that of a high school student requirement)
b. Reading/Writing will consist of comprehension, proper language, etc (equal to that of a high school student requirement)

If hired, must provide proof of a valid California driver’s license.

Part-Time
An Educational lnterpreter is responsible to the County Superintendent and works under the supervision of the designated manager(s). The Educational lnterpreter provides voice to sign and sign to voice interpreting for students, staff and others to assist students in accessing their education; tutors and provides assistance to students who are deaf; and assists with the instruction and supervision of students.
Requirements / QualificationsInternal and External Applicants must submit the following:
Proof of CPR Certification or have the ability to obtain one within 30 days
Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) certification is preferred.
Must posses a valid California Drivers License
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:Certification (Completion of an accredited college-level interpreter training program is required.)
Letter of Introduction
Other (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA), or equivalent assessment certification with a score of 4.0 or higher.)

Test Results/Materials (Educational Interpreter Written Assessment or equivalent assessment certification with a pass/fail score of 75% or higher)
