    POSITION: FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN

    PCP, part of Pioneer Power Solutions Inc. (Nasdaq: PPSI) offers the most advanced equipment and service solutions for onsite emergency solutions. At PCP, we specialize in cost effective service and repairs on all makes and models of commercial/industrial generators. We are seeking experienced field service generator technicians to join our team and help support our expanding business in Minnesota..

    Job Duties

    Service, maintenance, and repairs on all makes and kW sizes of generatorsInspect, Repair, Service and Start-Up Load Bank Test Requirements on EquipmentTroubleshoot all generator components including engine, alternator, controllers, wiring harnesses, safety devices, battery systems and cooling systems. Start-up and load bank test equipment Apply technical skills to identify the Problem and Cause of Failure through Logical Troubleshooting Steps, Determine Corrective Action Repair and Troubleshoot Engines such as Cummins, Detroit Diesel, John Deere, MTU and Volvo, among othersComplete field service reports(FSR’s) daily.

    Requirements

    High School Diploma or G.E.D.Clear criminal and driving recordsMinimum of 3 years’ of experience working with industrial power generations sets or similar transferrable skills Experience with diesel and natural/LP gas engines, electrical switch gear, and automatic transfer switchesMust have your own set of general toolsUse of computers/mobile devices for web based service & work order systemMust be physically able to lift 75lbs with no restrictions

    Desired Skills

    Strong work ethic and the ability to work with little supervisionStrong written and verbal skills (English)Independent self-starterExcellent customer relationship skillsOEM Training & Certification a PlusEGSA Certification a plus
