ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Plans, evaluates, and implements high quality medical care with appropriate resource management to patients ages 0-26 with primary emphasis on the pediatric and adolescent population.
• Adheres to the service and courtesy standard of WellStreet Urgent Care by delivering the highest standard of patient satisfaction at all times
• Performs procedures within scope, including suturing, incision and drainage of abscesses, splinting, and foreign body removal, with attention to age-appropriate technique and comfort measures for pediatric patients.
• Provides patient care within the respective clinical areas which comply with the Professional Staff Bylaws, rules and regulations and WellStreet Urgent Care policies and procedures
• Provides and/or serves as a resource for patient/family and staff education
• Provides an authenticated report of all services rendered and maintains accurate and complete records in an acceptable manner
• Completes necessary documentation and ensures communication to facilitate patient care and appropriate reimbursement
• Participates in meetings/activities as required to support operations of the urgent care center
• Participates in activities that enhance professional development, complete and maintain certification in BLS, PALS or NALS and maintain any additional specialty training or certifications as required by the area assigned
• Performs other responsibilities as required
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

While the majority of patients seen will be children and adolescents, this provider will evaluate and treat the full spectrum of patients within the 0–26 age range, including occupational medicine and work-related injury visits when applicable.
In addition to providing direct patient care, the Pediatrician serves as a clinical resource for pediatric medicine within the center, supporting best practices and helping to elevate the care experience for younger patients and their caregivers. This role works collaboratively with center staff and providers to ensure efficient patient flow while maintaining the high standards of quality, documentation, service, and operational excellence expected across all WellStreet locations.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Plans, evaluates, and implements high quality medical care with appropriate resource management to patients ages 0-26 with primary emphasis on the pediatric and adolescent population.
• Adheres to the service and courtesy standard of WellStreet Urgent Care by delivering the highest standard of patient satisfaction at all times
• Performs procedures within scope, including suturing, incision and drainage of abscesses, splinting, and foreign body removal, with attention to age-appropriate technique and comfort measures for pediatric patients.
• Provides patient care within the respective clinical areas which comply with the Professional Staff Bylaws, rules and regulations and WellStreet Urgent Care policies and procedures
• Provides and/or serves as a resource for patient/family and staff education
• Provides an authenticated report of all services rendered and maintains accurate and complete records in an acceptable manner
• Completes necessary documentation and ensures communication to facilitate patient care and appropriate reimbursement
• Participates in meetings/activities as required to support operations of the urgent care center
• Participates in activities that enhance professional development, complete and maintain certification in BLS, PALS or NALS and maintain any additional specialty training or certifications as required by the area assigned
• Performs other responsibilities as required
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
• Board Certified (or Board Eligible) in Pediatrics and licensed to practice medicine in the state of practice
• Current DEA registration
• Experience with procedures including suturing and drainage of abscesses
• Experience with reading diagnostic studies including X-rays and EKGs
• BLS and PALS certification required
• Ensures high-quality care delivery through APP supervision and collaboration
• Meets eligibility requirements for credentialing set forth by WellStreet Urgent Care
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and team members
• Required to travel to other WellStreet Urgent Care centers as needed to support business needs
