This role receives direct supervision from Inpatient Pharmacy Supervisors and Managers. Position Duties * Preparing, dispensing and delivering medications and supplies to patient care areas. Assists in accurately preparing and labeling medications in accordance with Board of Pharmacy regulations and department policy and defers to Pharmacist when appropriate. Prepares medications and verifies accuracy under the supervision of a pharmacist prior to dispensing in accordance with scope of practice and department procedure. Delivers medications and supplies to patient areas per hospital and department timelines and guidelines. Restocks automated dispensing cabinets and rotates stock and removes expiring medications of both patient specific doses and unit-dosed items available in the patient care areas and medication rooms. * Sterile and non-sterile compounding cytotoxic medications. Performs sterile and non-sterile compounding of cytotoxic medications in a negative pressure space per department policy, USP 797 and 800 Standards, Board of Pharmacy Rules and Regulations, DEA regulations and all applicable regulatory agencies.
