The company also publishes content across print and digital channels, as well as, producing events of interest that impact the African American community. Job Summary : We are currently seeking an energetic, highly motivated sales professional, who can drive sales through building and maintaining relationships with local and national businesses, effectively communicate the values of the newspaper audience, and create advertising solutions to help clients achieve their company goals and objectives. Job Summary : We have a unique opportunity for highly motivated sales professionals, who can drive sales through building and maintaining relationships with local and national businesses, effectively communicate the values of the newspaper audience, and create advertising solutions to help clients achieve their company goals and objectives. In your role, you will report directly to the Director of Advertising and work with a dynamic team of sales professionals. You will be representing a newspaper of unprecedented authority within the regions African American community. Job Requirements: Print and Digital sales experience Generate new business by prospecting though cold calling, site visits, networking and lead follow-up to expand the advertising client base. Establish new relationships with national, regional, and local advertisers who can benefit from Tribune print and digital products and services. Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals. Possess a valid drivers license and an insured motor vehicle. Desired Qualifications: Sales and communication skills: Strong Business-to Business (B2B) sales experience with exceptional presentation and interpersonal skills. 3-7 years-experience in print, digital and social media advertising (preferably B2B). Educational background: A bachelor's degree is often preferred, but relevant experience can also qualify candidates. Proven sales success A valid driver's license and clean driving record and access to an automobile is preferred Experience working with advertising agencies and multicultural communities is a plus. The key responsibilities are to lead the editorial direction, ensure journalistic excellence and cultural accuracy, oversee investigative and community storytelling, protect editorial independence and represent the publication publicly.
