    Description

    Phelps Dunbar LLP is an AmLaw 200 full-service law firm. The Office Services Clerk shall be responsible for maintaining the kitchen, coffee rooms, employee lounge, conference rooms, and client areas. The Office Services Clerk will serve as back-up/relief receptionist and assist in the mailroom. In addition, he/she will assist with additional office services duties.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    Provide excellent service to attorneys, management, staff and other professionals.Work consistently and effectively in a team environment.Responsible for maintaining the kitchen, coffee rooms, employee lounge, and client areas.Responsible for the timely setup and cleanup of conference rooms for meetings.Responsible for serving as back-up/relief receptionist including duties such as greeting guests, answering phones, scheduling conference rooms, and audio/video conferences.Assist with mailroom duties as needed.Responsible for inventorying, ordering, and stocking kitchen, coffee rooms, employee lounge, client areas, and bathrooms with supplies.Responsible for stocking office supplies in conference rooms.Responsible for stocking and ordering restroom supplies.Responsible for checking and replenishing first aid supplies.Assist with other office services tasks and projects as requested.
    Requirements

    Education and Experience:
    Minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required. Prior client service or receptionist experience in a law firm, professional environment, or high-end hospitality environment preferred.
    Qualifications and Skills Required:
    Must be detail oriented, timely, and organized.Professionalism and ability to interact and communicate effectively in a business environment.Walking and standing the majority of work day.Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.Ability to work in a high volume, service-oriented environment.Computer literacy, including Microsoft Outlook.Excellent organizational skills.Willingness to function as a team member.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    Phelps, a 435+ lawyer firm with 17 offices across the U.S. and London, is seeking a curious, collaborative and solution-oriented business development (BD) manager to join our Client Development team. This position reports directly to the director of business development and works closely with the chief client development officer, other managers and the entire Client Development team.

    BD managers collaborate closely and frequently with practice and working group leaders, lawyers at all levels and administrative departments to support a wide range of business development initiatives, including strategic planning, pitches and proposals, competitive intelligence and experience management.

    Successful candidates will have five or more years of experience in business development in professional services, a growth mindset, the ability to learn quickly and a strong team-oriented approach, along with excellent communication and organizational skills. Candidates must be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word, with exceptional aptitude working with AI systems such as Copilot, CRM platforms such as HubSpot, experience management tools such as Litera Foundation and emerging technologies.

    Main Duties and Responsibilities
    Serve as BD lead for two of the firm's six core practice areas, including regular meetings with practice area leaders to ensure consistent BD supportServe as BD lead for select working groups focused on emerging and trending areas of law, including monthly meetings with leadership to ensure group objectives are being metServe as project manager for major proposals and pitches for existing and prospective clientsBuild, evaluate, research and maintain prospect lists for practice areas and working groupsResearch companies, executives, industries and marketsTrack experience and deals in firm systemsCollaborate with events, communications and design teams to support practice and working groups with events, sponsorships and external communications

    Requirements
