    We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Virtualization Engineer to support a mission-critical customer in the Reston/Herndon, VA area. This position requires an active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph and a deep technical background in VMware technologies, including VCF full stack, vSphere, and vCenter. As a senior-level expert, the selected candidate will work directly under the direction of the customer, engaging in advanced infrastructure operations and engineering. Key Responsibilities: - Support and maintain a full VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) environment
    - Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support to the customer and system integrators
    - Attend customer planning and technical meetings to provide subject matter expertise
    - Perform knowledge transfers and mentor team members as requested
    - Apply and manage security and performance patches for all relevant products, including vSphere and ARIA suite
    - Provide ad-hoc support to the Field Support group as needed
    - Deliver effective troubleshooting support during outages and performance incidents
    - Maintain and update JIRA and Confluence pages with project status and documentation
    - Ensure high availability and performance of virtualization platforms through proactive management
    - Understand and support deployment and operation of vSphere, vCenter, VCF, NSX, and the ARIA Suite Required Qualifications: Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Poly (Required)
    Extensive experience with VCF full stack, vSphere, and vCenter
    Working knowledge of NSX and VMware ARIA Suite (formerly vRealize Suite)
    Strong understanding of enterprise virtualization infrastructure and operations
    Experience with patch management, incident response, and documentation best practices
    Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence for tracking and documentation
    Ability to effectively communicate with customers and integrate with multiple support teams Preferred Skills: VMware certifications (VCP, VCAP, or higher)
    Experience in highly secure environments
    Familiarity with DoD or IC agency standards and processes Benefits

You will be responsible for deploying, integrating, and maintaining modern data center and virtualization technologies in classified environments. Key Responsibilities: Deploy, configure, and maintain private cloud infrastructure solutions, primarily using HPE hardware.
    Install, patch, and manage virtualization software and supporting systems.
    Integrate identity, access management, and security policies across multi-vendor environments.
    Collaborate with engineering and security teams to assess vulnerabilities and implement remediations.
    Evaluate and implement new tools and services to enhance cloud platform capabilities.
    Provide customer-facing support to deliver a smooth, user-centered private cloud experience.

    - Strong background in modern data center technologies

    - Proficiency with container platforms (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
    - Familiarity with at least one major public cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP preferred)

    - Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills in complex environments
    - Strong communication skills with a customer-first engineering mindset
