    Do you have experience in managing the Quality Department of a Part 145 Repair Station? Then come grow with us! Our team is looking for a seasoned Quality Manager to help us bring our organization to the next level.


    Job Summary

    The Chief Inspector/Quality Control reports to the Accountable Manager for the overall operation of the Quality Control Department and will be instrumental in returning to service components the shop works on. The Chief Inspector is responsible for directing, planning, and laying out the details of component inspections, as well as witnessing acceptance testing and helping to establish methods and procedures used by the Repair Station designed to comply with all applicable regulations, manufacturer's specifications, customer and industry standards, and guidance. The Chief Inspector may be delegated the authority from the Accountable Manager to edit and refine the shop's operating manuals, including the Repair Station Quality Manual (RSQM), Training Manual (STM), Forms Manual and the various supplements. As needed the Quality Manager will communicate with FAA and customer Quality Representatives.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    25% Train, direct, supervise, and assist all inspection personnel performing work under the Repair Station Certificate.25% Responsible to witnessing and signing off acceptance testing.15% Responsible for ensuring all inspections are properly performed and recorded, and all records are properly executed before for final approval and return to service for articles maintained or altered by this Repair Station.15% Responsible for ensuring paperwork is being completed, approved and filed in accordance with applicable procedures and instructions.5% Responsible for ensuring that when there is conflict or counter-demand on inspection authorization he/she coordinates with the Repair Station Accountable Manager for final determination or investigation.10% Acts as primary liaison with the Federal Aviation Administration5% Other duties as assigned by manager


    Qualifications and Skills

    Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools is required (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).Must be able to map and document processes.Able to solve complex problems in a fast-paced environment.Must be able to interpret and apply highly technical regulations and regulatory guidance.Must be comfortable drafting and revising technical procedures and manuals and helping to ensure their proper implementation.Must be self-motivated and mature - able to finish assignments in a timely, complete, and professional manner.Must possess FAA Issued Mechanic's certificate with Airframe and Powerplant Ratings;Or have recently possessed a Repairman's Certificate doing similar work;Or have the necessary experience and qualifications to be recommended for a Repairman's Certificate upon hire.


    Education Required

    Required: High school diploma or equivalent

    Preferred: Associates; bachelor's or higher degree in a Quality, Engineering or Aviation related field


    Experience Required

    Experience with Microsoft Excel required.10-15 years' experience working in a FAA Part 145 Repair StationMinimum of 4 years' experience working in a leadership role.Experience using a Repair Station ERP system (Quantum Control Preferred)

    Job Description

    The individual will be doing hands-on repair, assembly, soldering, or re-manufacture of mechanical and electromechanical components utilizing company provided approved data. The technician will be responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical, electromechanical, and machined assemblies sent in for repair evaluation by our customers. Training, technical documents, and oversight are provided by PG Aerotech management.

    Essential Responsibilities

    Test and repair aircraft components in accordance with company provided data (manuals, drawings, procedures, etc.) and company provided training.Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area.Correctly, concisely, and legibly fill out all company forms and reports as required by management (both written and online).Work with co-workers to achieve goals and objectives set by management.Work with management to develop new processes and procedures as necessary.Assist in basic shop upkeep and maintenance including routine cleaning of the technician's work area and periodic shop maintenance assignments.Communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external representatives, including management, customer reps, FAA inspectors, airline inspectors and similar (training provided).

    Experience and Skills

    The ability to pass a pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings as well as a basic background check.2 or more years of similar or related work experience; similar experience in aviation, automotive, marine, electronics, or low-voltage electric repair will be considered. Technician candidate must own his or her own set of basic hand tools.Applicant must have at the least a moderate level of experience and proficiency with general electrical soldering and/or circuit board level soldering.The ability to follow instructions and work to a written procedure concisely and accurately.Must be fluent in speaking, reading and writing English.Applicants must be able to read and thoroughly understand technical drawings, blueprints, manuals, and instructions. A pre-employment technical skills and comprehension test may be required.Interested individuals must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and highly organized.Experience using a computer.Punctual and reliable.Valid driver's license.Electrical or Mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience. Machinist experience a plus.

    Physical Requirements

    The ability to lift up to 20 lbs.Manual dexterity (must be able to hold certain components with one hand while moving tools around with the other)Constant hand manipulation of small to medium Sitting or standing for long periods of timeFrequent use of hand tools and other repair equipmentUse of chemicals for cleaning, lubricating and painting

    Education

    High school diploma or GED is required.Associates degree or higher in a related technical field preferred.Trade schooling or related industry experience required.A&P certificate is not required (but it is a plus).

    Compensation

    Hourly position commensurate with experience and skill level and/or certifications. ($24 - $32)We offer medical, dental, vision, life and other insurance options; 401k with 100% match on first 4%; full time workers get paid holidays, vacation & sick/personal leave accrued on hire date.
