Role Overview
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (Days/Nights) at Perimeter Behavioral Health, you'll play a vital role in providing
compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients in our behavioral health setting. This position
combines clinical expertise with therapeutic engagement to support our patients' recovery journey.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care
Deliver comprehensive nursing care to behavioral health patients
Administer medications according to prescribed orders
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in MARs
Monitor and assess patient conditions
Implement individual care plans
Coordinate with healthcare team members
Provide nursing group as needed
Therapeutic Support
Develop and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients
Model and teach life skills for independent living
Provide de-escalation interventions when needed
Support patients in crisis situations
Create a safe and therapeutic environment
Professional Collaboration
Maintain professional communication with physicians
Participate in treatment team meetings
Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team
Contribute to care planning and assessment
Mentor and support nursing team members
Required Qualifications
Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Missouri or eligible compact state
Current CPR certification
Strong assessment and documentation skills
Excellent communication abilities
Crisis intervention capabilities
Preferred Qualifications
One year behavioral health nursing experience preferred
Psychiatric nursing background
Experience with children and adolescents preferred
Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification
Knowledge of behavioral health medications
CPI or Handle with Care upon hire
