    Responsibilities Position Overview The Civil Affairs (CA) Specialist (Journeyman) provides research, analysis, planning, and program support for Special Operations Forces (SOF) Civil Affairs activities within Operations in the Information Environment (OIE). This role supports the development, integration, and assessment of Civil Affairs capabilities, programs, and force employment strategies across U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), Geographic Combatant Commands, Joint Staff, and other Department of Defense stakeholders. The successful candidate will conduct operational and strategic analysis, support force development initiatives, and assist with the planning and execution of Civil Affairs programs that align with national defense and operational objectives. Key Responsibilities Conduct research and analysis to support Civil Affairs programs and Operations in the Information Environment mission sets. Assist in the development, implementation, and assessment of Civil Affairs activities across USSOCOM and supported commands. Analyze force design, development, employment, and readiness of Civil Affairs forces in support of operational objectives. Support the integration of Civil Affairs capabilities across Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership, Personnel, Facilities, and Policy (DOTMLPF-P) frameworks. Ability to work effectively with senior military leaders, joint organizations, and interagency partners.
