Position Summary: Project Engineer personnel are responsible for contributing to the overall safety, direction, completion, and financial outcome of construction projects from initial budget through project closeout. Safety is a core value at Pepper Construction and Project Engineer personnel are expected to promote and exemplify safe work practices. Project Engineer personnel are expected to work with people in all levels of Project Management and Field Supervision to establish operational priorities and ensure a quality project. Major Responsibilities: Project Management Ensure customer satisfaction by identifying and exceeding client needs with the support and direction from a Project Executive or Senior Manager. Estimate, value engineer and develop project Budgets with the support and direction from a Project Executive. Facilitate the subcontractor bid process to include processing, distribution and tracking of all project bidding documentation. Ability to utilize software programs and templates to process, distribute and track all project documentation. Perform following duties with support and direction from a Project Executive Negotiate subcontractor and material buyout; develop and negotiate subcontracts. Plan and schedule projects. Manage jobs in progress including subcontractor coordination, conflict resolution, documentation and ensuring quality and safety on every job. Manage project costs through the ongoing evaluation of labor, material and equipment; continue to forecast and analyze construction costs, exposures and profits through project completion. Perform project closeout. Leadership Provide leadership through building relationships, motivating others, providing clear direction, and cooperative teamwork. Communicate effectively; both written and verbal with support and direction from a Project Executive or other Senior Management. Business Development Interact with clients and potential clients to identify and pursue potential work. Prepare and participate in client presentations and project interviews; negotiate and secure new business under direct and close supervision. POSITION SUMMARY: Superintendents are responsible for the overall direction of field operations, completion schedules, and labor budget outcome of their construction project, including any Specialty Department work. They will direct and supervise all Pepper Construction field personnel and all subcontractors on the jobsite effectively to bring the project to a successful completion. Our superintendents establish a positive and effective work relationship with the members of the Project Team (Project Managers, Owners, Architects, and Subcontractors). POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Site Management Plan and schedule project, including short interval schedules Schedule manpower and develop a working budget based on the estimates and project schedule. Control job progress by managing subcontractors, solving problems and conflicts, using proper documentation, quality control and safety control techniques on the job. Control project costs by weekly evaluation of labor, material, and equipment costs, adjusting to ensure a fair profit while maximizing customer satisfaction foremost. Demonstrate superior construction process knowledge, with an emphasis on MEP. People Management Ensure customer satisfaction by recognizing and meeting all the client's needs. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in construction management or equivalent knowledge through commercial construction supervision experience. POSITION SUMMARY: Pepper Construction is looking for a dynamic Virtual Construction Manager to join our exciting and growing Indiana team. The ideal candidate will not only have a thorough knowledge for Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) technology, but also strong experience and understanding of design and construction processes and documentation. A passion for being on the leading edge of BIM and VDC technology is a must. This person will also have exceptional leadership skills and ability to facilitate project collaboration through the implementation of Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) services on our projects. The Virtual Construction Manager will be primarily responsible for leading the MEP BIM Coordination process with our trade partners. This will involve taking the lead in planning, scheduling, and leading the MEP Coordination process. This person will also be involved in other BIM and VDC processes through various life cycles of the project, including but not limited to: design model coordination, underground utility coordination, visualization, modeling, virtual mock-ups, model-based estimating, 3D coordination, logistics, and reality capture. The Virtual Design and Construction Manager maintains continuous contact with the Vice President of Virtual Construction to support Operations, other Support Services (i.e. Quality, Safety, Preconstruction, etc.) and Business Development / Marketing personnel, as well as building and maintaining professional relationships with clients, designers, subcontractors and software developers. Please note: This is NOT an IT job. Qualified applicants will have experience in the commercial construction or design industry.
