    Job Description

    The Continuous Improvement Specialist is responsible for driving efficiency, quality, and productivity across operations. This role leads Lean and Six Sigma initiatives, coaches' teams at all levels, and supports the development of a culture of problem-solving and operational excellence. By analyzing processes, reducing waste, and driving measurable improvements, the Continuous Improvement Specialist directly impacts performance, throughput, and customer satisfaction. This role requires a strong foundation in data-driven decision-making, Lean principles, and change management.

     

    Accountabilities

    Lead CI projects that streamline manufacturing processes and eliminate waste.Facilitate Kaizen events, workshops, and training to build team engagement in CI.Analyze operations to uncover inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and capacity constraints.Partner with leadership to plan, prioritize, and execute improvement initiatives.Apply Lean tools (5S, Kanban, VSM) and Six Sigma methodologies (DMAIC) to drive sustainable results.Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions that stick.Support the rollout of Visual Factory tools and reinforce standard work.Collaborate with QA/QC to track and sustain improvements in quality and throughput.Coach, train, and influence employees at all levels, from shop floor to leadership.Drive adoption of new processes through effective change management.Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and internal quality systems.Perform other duties as assignedQualifications

    Required knowledge/Experience

    5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on Continuous Improvement, Required.Demonstrated success leading process improvement initiatives and facilitating Kaizen, Required.Strong knowledge of Lean principles and Six Sigma tools.Skilled in root cause analysis, data-driven decision making, and project management.Excellent communication, leadership, and coaching skills.Ability to influence without authority and train employees at all levels.Familiarity with business and quality management systems.

    Education

    Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field, Preferred.

    Work Environment and Physical Demands                                                                               

    FLSA executive and professional positions paid on a salary basis, where project requirements and tight client deadlines may require workweeks over forty (40) hours (including weekends or holidays)  This role will work in an office setting; however, frequent visits to the production floor are required to oversee operations, ensure compliance and safety standards, and engage staff. Mobility: Ability to move around the manufacturing plant, including walking, standing, and climbing stairs. Manual Dexterity: Occasional use of hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. Lifting: Ability to lift and carry items up to twenty-five (25) pounds.     Job Description

    The Production Department is responsible for the delivery of quality Mission Critical Group products in a timely manner in order to support our efforts of being a best in class manufacturer. The overall objective of this position is to provide high quality craftsmanship when assembling copper bus and similar conductive material using best in class installation techniques in order to contribute to a team focused on achieving industry leading cycle time, delivering superior quality, and assisting in reducing per unit costs. Consistent and accurate representation of the Mission Critical Group brand, mission, vision, values, and organizational strategy are essential to achieving the goals of the organization. 

    Schedule: Monday to Friday 6am to 4pm | Occasional Saturdays

    Accountabilities 

    Demonstrate an entry‐level of proficiency in executing workmanship on all production projects to include large line‐ ups and complex sections in areas of assembling and installing copper bus into enclosures, per drawing packages and instructions defined by the Engineering Department.   Install and mount conductive material into electrical enclosures by reading and comprehending schematics or documents, under supervision and guidance from senior team members, to efficiently build customized equipment in order to meet and exceed deadlines.  Perform daily tasks with safe and proper use of equipment and tools, including tape measures, drills, hand power tools, overhead cranes, pallet jacks, and saw horses. Interpret and apply basic knowledge of manufacturing and principles while reading specifications to make determinations on bussing parts, methods, and sequencing. Maintain a safe, clean and well‐organized work area by complying with safety procedures, rules, quality standards and best practices, and relying on pre‐established guidelines or directions from senior team members to perform tasks optimally.  Maintain operational excellence by completing necessary paperwork such as Engineering Corrective Reports, Non‐ conformance Reports, Corrective Action Reports, and Material Transfer Requests. Qualifications

    Required Knowledge / Experience 

    0-1 year of work experience assembling copper bus, or similar materials, into electrical control equipment in a manufacturing facility required. Production and Processing: Knowledge or raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.  Mechanical: Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.     Job Description

    The Painter/Blaster is a key member of the Fabrication Department, responsible for preparing metal parts and welded assemblies for production by performing abrasive blasting techniques to remove rust, scale, grease, and other surface contaminants. This role plays a critical part in ensuring all components meet Mission Critical Group's quality standards before advancing to the next stage of the manufacturing process. The Painter/Blaster is expected to operate blasting equipment safely and efficiently, inspect completed work for quality compliance, and always maintain a clean and organized work area. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, production-focused, and committed to upholding the high standards of craftsmanship that allow Mission Critical Group to deliver superior products to clients across the oil and gas, marine, and energy markets.     Schedule: Monday to Friday 2:30pm to 12am | Occasional Saturdays

    Accountabilities  

    Stage metal parts and welded assemblies for blasting.  Operate blasting equipment to clean and prepare sheet metal surfaces.  Remove scale, rust, grease, and other materials using abrasive blasting techniques.  Inspect blasted parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.  Safely unload and organize cleaned parts for the next step in production.  Maintain and clean blasting equipment as needed.  Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe at all times.  Meet or exceed production timelines and quality expectations.Qualifications

    Required knowledge/Experience 

    2+ years’ experience in industrial or commercial blasting or paint operations  Experience with spray application techniques and equipment  Familiarity with primers, epoxies, urethanes, and other industrial coatings preferred Able to work independently and follow safety and quality procedures  Experience using blasting tools and equipment (e.g., blast pot, dust collector, recovery unit)  Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance  Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail  Ability to read and understand work instructions and basic drawings  Basic math skills (add, subtract, measure)

    Job Description

    The Quality Control Inspector will ensure our custom manufactured products meet client specifications and company quality standards. You'll inspect structural steel, electrical assemblies, and fabricated components throughout production from incoming materials through final release for power distribution buildings serving oil & gas, marine, and energy clients. This is a hands-on shop floor role. You'll work directly with welders, fabricators, and assembly technicians to catch issues early, coordinate with engineering on quality concerns, and serve as the quality gatekeeper before products ship to customers.

    Accountabilities: 

    Inspect, test, or measure materials, products, installations, or work for conformance to client specifications.   Measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers.   Read blueprints, data, manuals, or other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustment methods, certification processes, formulas, or measuring instruments required.   Conduct As-Built Quality Reviews to ensure our products meet or exceed client expectations in terms of quality, uniformity, and reliability upon final inspection. Facilitate the timely and effective resolution of product quality issues by serving as a liaison between Engineering, Manufacturing Managers and/or Production Foreman.  Ensure Mission Critical Group’s quality and reputation by coordinating the UL labeling of products and assisting during UL inspections and other third-party inspections. Uphold impeccable quality levels by working closely with the Manufacturing Manager to continually develop an understanding of Mission Critical Group’s Policies & Procedures and ISO 9001 standards.   Engage in systematic listening and responsiveness with partners and key clients by assisting the Manufacturing Manager in handling complaints in a timely and effective manner. Decrease operational costs and risks by actively assisting in the development and maintenance of policies that enhance process compliance and ensure product quality. Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications

    Required knowledge/Experience 

    1+ years of experience performing quality control of structural and electrical assemblies within an electrical‐ type equipment manufacturing environment, such as switchboard, motor control centers, controllers manufacturing, etc.    1+ years of experience applying ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements, preferred.  Ability to travel between all three facilities in Belle Chasse, LA & Bay St. Louis, MS. Customer and Personal Service: Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.  Equipment Maintenance: Knowledge of Mission Critical Group’s products and equipment. Use of tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, ratchets/sockets, tape measures, and torque wrenches.  Technical Services: Extensive knowledge of processes related to our products.  Safety Compliance: The ability to recognize unsafe work habits.     Accountabilities 

    Supervise and schedule staff on projects to meet quality standards and on-time shipment requirements. Provide technical guidance and direct corrective actions of Test Technicians by demonstrating advanced knowledge and technical skills for testing Low and Medium Voltage switchgear. Perform diagnostics, troubleshoot, investigate, advise ONCR/NCRs, and repair all custom-built equipment prior to client shipment.   Perform Factory Acceptance Tests using industry compliance standards, such as IEEE and ANSI, to show the functionality of Point Eight Power products and advise of interfacing capabilities with clients’ existing equipment.   Interact with customers while providing design verifications and product reliability demonstrations during client witness testing activities.   Train personnel in all areas of shop testing and troubleshooting, while providing expertise to Field Service Technicians on the floor or on-site for optimal client responsiveness and feedback capabilities. Ensure a safe workplace for all personnel and visitors to the Manufacturing floor through strict adherence to 5S safety standards as well as OSHA and EPA requirements. Manage test technician responsibilities to ensure they are contributing 90% of their time to directly adding value to jobs. Demonstrate a mastery level of technical skills about performing diagnostics, troubleshooting, and testing for reliability on Low, Medium, and Arc-Resistant switchgear and electrical control equipment using tools such as voltmeters, multimeters, etc. Verify and document that electricity can flow uninterrupted, HIPOT tests on copper bus, conduct lockout/tagout procedure, and all components within the unit operate at the specified current level.   Investigate, advise ONCR/NCRs, ensure final product is consistent with technical schematics, perform basic device programming, and repair all custom-built equipment prior to client shipment as a measure of quality control.   Perform Factory Acceptance Tests to ABS regulations using industry compliance standards, such as IEEE and ANSI, to show the functionality of Point Eight Power products and advise of interfacing capabilities with clients’ existing equipment.   Identify functionality or defects through visual and electrical inspections on power distribution equipment and perform maintenance or repairs within testing guidelines. Interact with customers on design verifications and product reliability demonstrations during client witness testing activities, while strengthening partner and vendor relationships within Manufacturing.   Advise and act as a resource to provide expertise and technical guidance to Wiremen or Field Service Technicians. Train personnel as a subject matter expert in all areas of shop testing and troubleshooting, while providing expertise to Field Service Technicians on the floor or on-site for optimal client responsiveness and feedback capabilities. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications

    Required knowledge/Experience 

    5+ years of experience testing equipment using IEEE or ANSI Acceptance Standards, required.   Hands-on experience with electrical testing procedures and equipment. Working knowledge of medium-voltage (MV) and low-voltage (LV) switchgear, control panels, PCD, and crimp plate buildings  Familiarity with UL 891, UL 1558, DLAH requirements, and related industry standards  Understanding of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and test documentation  Knowledge of safety protocols for working with energized electrical equipment Strong leadership and team development abilities  Excellent problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills  Clear, professional communication with internal teams and external clients  Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a production environment  Proficiency with standard manufacturing software and documentation systems

    Support the effort to be a best-in-class manufacturer through the fabrication of high-quality products that exceed our clients’ expectations by operating either the Punch Press or Break Press machines to cut holes or bend materials as needed for the fabrication of our products. This includes the following: Retrieving the punch list, parts list, and applicable CNC programs to create parts as needed per job.  Locating and moving or pulling raw sheet metal material as described by the parts list per job. Loading materials onto the machine in preparation for punch or break and safely securing materials on the machine with the use of clamps, fingers or other fixtures. Selecting die clearance, punches, tools, or other attachments needed to complete projects based on the specifications of the materials; Install and align them as needed to ensure optimal performance.  Coordinating with other CNC Operators to enter commands or adjust machine controls to correct errors, especially while operating the break press.  Monitoring machines and control panel displays to ensure machines are operating correctly.  Using tools, such as calipers and protractors, to measure finished products to ensure they meet requirements.  Staging parts as completed to prepare for the next phase of fabrication.  Maintaining a safe, clean, well-organized work area.  Perform necessary side operations during machine cycle time as required. Training with the Bus CNC Foremen to develop the skills and learn how to operate both machines.  Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications

    Job Description

    Deliver best in class thinking and service to the oil and gas, marine, and energy markets through listening, applying intelligence and responding. Every time. The Production department is responsible for the fabrication of raw materials as needed to manufacture quality Mission Critical Group products in a timely manner. The overall objective of the Bus CNC Operator 1 position is to engage in all activities concerned with producing parts by operating a CNC machine and ensure that jobs are completed and shipped as scheduled while meeting our quality standards. Consistent and accurate modeling and representing the Mission Critical Group brand, mission, vision, values and organizational strategy are essential to achieving the goals of the organization. 

     

    Schedule: Monday to Friday 6AM to 4PM or 7AM to 5PM |Must be flexible to work overtime and some Saturdays 

     

    Accountabilities 

    Support the effort to be a best-in-class manufacturer through the fabrication of high-quality products that exceed our clients’ expectations by operating either the Punch Press or Break Press machines to cut holes or bend materials as needed for the fabrication of our products. This includes the following: 

    Retrieving the punch list, parts list, and applicable CNC programs to create parts as needed per job.  

    Locating and moving or pulling raw sheet metal material as described by the parts list per job. 

    Loading materials onto the machine in preparation for punch or break and safely securing materials on the machine with the use of clamps, fingers or other fixtures. 

    Selecting die clearance, punches, tools, or other attachments needed to complete projects based on the specifications of the materials; Install and align them as needed to ensure optimal performance.  

    Coordinating with other CNC Operators to enter commands or adjust machine controls to correct errors, especially while operating the break press.  

    Monitoring machines and control panel displays to ensure machines are operating correctly.  

    Using tools, such as calipers and protractors, to measure finished products to ensure they meet requirements.  

    Staging parts as completed to prepare for the next phase of fabrication.  

    Maintaining a safe, clean, well-organized work area.  

    Perform necessary side operations during machine cycle time as required. 

    Training with the Bus CNC Foremen to develop the skills and learn how to operate both machines.  

    Perform other duties as assigned. 

    Qualifications

    Required Knowledge/Experience 

    0-1 year of sheet metal fabrication or CNC operator 

    Ability to read and understand blueprints 

    Excellent mechanical skills and aptitude in supporting CNC sheet metal equipment, the ability to visualize 3D parts from cut sheets. Good math skills and qualified basic computer skills. 

    Self-motivated and able to identify, examine, and resolve issues independently from others. Hold a strong regard for guidelines, procedures, and integrity. 

    Attendance & Punctuality: Maintain 97% attendance rate with minimal tardiness. 

    Teamwork & Communication: Receive positive feedback from team leaders or operators on responsiveness and attitude. 

    Continuous Improvement Participation: Actively contribute at least one improvement idea per quarter. 

    Safety Compliance: Zero safety violations or incidents; full adherence to PPE and safety protocol.

    This role is based on the production floor. The position requires standing for extended periods, working around machinery, and adherence to all safety and compliance standards.  

    Mobility: Ability to move around the manufacturing plant, including walking, standing, and climbing stairs.  

    Manual Dexterity: Occasional use of hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.  

    Lifting: Ability to lift and carry items up to fifty (50) pounds. All lifting should be done following OSHA standards.  

    Visual and Auditory Requirements: Must be able to see and hear well enough to navigate the plant safely and communicate effectively with team members.

    Job Description

    The Support Tech will be responsible for supporting the Blast and Brake Forming areas. This role 

    will provide safe and timely movement, storage, and organization of materials throughout the production floor to support maximized efficiency and reduce downtime for machine operators. This role requires a safety-first mindset, with strict adherence to all safety protocols and a proactive approach to maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment. The Support Technician demonstrates strong ownership mentality, taking full responsibility for their work area, anticipating team needs, and contributing to continuous improvement and overall production flow. 

    Schedule: Monday to Friday 5am to 2:30pm | Will work occasional Saturdays   

    Accountabilities 

    Deliver raw materials and components to Blast and Brake forming operators as needed 

    Remove finished or processed materials from workstations and relocate to the appropriate areas 

    Transport work sections between staging areas and active workstations 

    Organize and maintain staging areas with clear job number identification 

    Clean and clear workstations of debris, preparing them for the next cycle or process 

    Ability to read and understand work orders, production tags, labels, and basic schematics 

    Perform other duties as assigned 

    Qualifications

    Required Knowledge/Experience 

    1+ years experience in a material handling, warehouse, or manufacturing support role 

    Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification
