Production Operator - 3rd Shift (10p to 630a) Sunday Through Thursday Pay: $20.00 /hr Multiple Departments Hiring Multiple Candidates! About the Role We are looking for a motivated Production Operator to join our team. This position plays a key role in the fabrication of precision crystal rods by performing grinding, polishing, measuring, and inspection tasks. What You'll Do Support crystal rod fabrication processes, which may include blocking, grinding, beveling, polishing, measuring, and inspecting rod materials according to specifications and production schedules. Select appropriate fixtures and properly block rods for polishing. Operate CNC optical grinding machines. Prepare polishing slurries and maintain laps. Set up and run overarm spindles. Measure geometric properties using appropriate tools. Inspect surface quality under a microscope to ensure compliance with standards. Follow detailed work instructions and interpret engineering blueprints. Verify that parts meet required tolerances. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. Use the electronic Shop Floor Control system for data entry and part tracking. Perform all work in accordance with ISO 9001 quality standards and EHS requirements. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel) Strong communication skills for working with peers, engineering, and management Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English in a technical environment Good manual dexterity, strong work ethic, and ability to multitask Positive attitude and willingness to learn Strong attention to detail, good visual acuity, and solid basic math skills Ability to use measurement tools, work in both metric and English units, interpret engineering prints, follow detailed instructions, maintain documentation, and keep an organized workspace using 5S principles Preferred Qualifications Associate degree or two-year technical degree Experience in a technical or manufacturing environment, including part measurement, process interpretation, and troubleshooting Experience in optical fabrication, including microscope use and mechanical or optical metrology Experience operating grinding, cutting, or polishing machinery (manual or CNC) PeopleShare is the leading Staffing Agency in the region and has temporary to hire and permanent jobs across 8 states.
