This is a Temp-to-perm opportunity offering consistent hours, weekly pay, and per diem. You’ll earn $28-$34 DOE. ResponsibilitiesMust be able to operate an excavatorEnsures equipment is in good working order, alwaysMust possess skill, coordination, and awareness to operate heavy equipment in a safe manner with precision and efficiencyWillingness to operate heavy equipment for long periods with continuous attention to detail and safetyMaintain consistent communication among field crew members by use of hand signals or radio to align and position heavy equipment properlyRestores and/or landscapes disturbed areas of the job siteResponsible for the site set-up and clean-upLoad and unload tools, materials, and equipment on the truckWill be involved in new site Job Safety Analysis - JSA prior to starting constructionSetting up safety perimeter using signage, cones, and safety barriers and at times flagging trafficMay be required to work overtime; after hours; on weekends, for emergencies, or be on call as work is needed to ensure work is completedAbility to follow instructionsWe tend to stay local to Oregon, but we will move around the stateSome out of state work may take place
18 years or older with valid Right to Work documentation in the U.S.Minimum 1 year of experience as a mini Excavator OperatorTravel is requiredAbility to stand, bend, kneel, and walk for extended periodsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodationReliable transportation with a valid Driver’s LicenseMust pass background check, MVR, and drug screening (including THC)
Preferred QualificationsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skillsStrong written and verbal communications skillsUnderstanding of basic utility construction processes and terminology a plus
