    Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJoin a 4th generation business that has been family-owned for over 120 years!  We began as a mineral-exploration drilling company in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania in 1900, and have adapted with the times to become a manufacturer, in addition to the drilling side of the business.  

    We seek a Shipping/Receiving Clerk to maintain inventory, to ship and receive products as a key function of the manufacturing process in producing equipment for the geotechnical industry.  Aid and support shop personnel in daily activities by utilizing work tickets to pull goods and materials to stage for production, checking and refilling supplies (cleaners, rags, tape, gloves, grinding wheels, safety glasses), emptying trash and keeping production and warehouse floor swept. Acts as additional resource in helping other shop personnel in lifting or operating fork trucks. 

    The hours for this role are typically 7:00 am - 3:30 pm Monday - Friday with overtime available.

    What you will do for us:Manage warehouse inventory and maintains database. Coordinate and schedule the movement of products throughout the warehouse including storage and shipment of finished products.Implement daily production and shipping plan, arranging for excess stock to be stored in warehouse.Manage daily flow of finished products by modifying storage space assignments.Confirm availability of items to be shipped by verifying inventory records or conducting inventories of required items.Identify and report slow-moving products and with approval, arrange for the removal of the product.Manually handle, repack, or restack pallets of finished product as needed.Operate fork truck and overhead crane in the shop, as well as operate company vehicle to travel locally or regionally based on business need. Documents all related activities and completes forms and reportsReceive inbound freight and raw materials, records receipts into inventory Prepare goods from sales orders to pull parts and box/pallet for shipment. Enter information into freight carrier databases. The ideal candidate will have the following experience:High school diploma or equivalent required.Prior warehouse or related work experience preferred. Inventory control experience, preferred.Must possess and maintain in good standing a valid state driver’s license, required. .Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Basic understanding of or ability to quickly learn company product codes and terminology.Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.Good analytical skills and ability to make sound judgments relative to inventory.
    A little more about our work environment:This position primarily works in a heavy manufacturing environment where the ability to work in a variety ofenvironmental conditions including exposure to heat and cold both inside and outside of the building, and around loud noises. Remain on feet in an upright position for continuous periods of time.Climb ladders and work in overhead areas.Raise or lower objects up to 75lbs from one level to another. Carry objects up to 50 lbs. of requires employee to bend forward by bending at waist or by bending the legs and spine.Ability to crawl or move about on hands and knees.Employee to wear personal protective equipment such as: gloves, steel toe footwear, ear protection and hard hat.Ability to drive forklift and heavy load company vehicle to deliver and pick up equipment and parts. Regularly grasp or reach and pick up objects. Travel distances in facility during course of work.Repeated motions with wrists, hands, fingers.

    We seek a machinist to program and operate CNC and other milling machinery to produce parts used for the Geotechnical, Foundation Support and Drilling industries. The hours for this role is 7:00 am - 3:30 pm Monday - Friday with overtime available.

    What you will do for us:

    Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce quality precision parts Reads and interprets blueprints and design sketches to ensure proper dimensions and specifications for parts.Selects the appropriate cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials to be used on machines.Examines and measures completed units and parts to identify any defects and to ensure units conform with predetermined specifications; adjusts machine controls to resolve production errors.Inspects machinery for any needed repairs; performs minor repairs within expertise.Produce parts to tolerances as outlined on production prints. Use of precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, indicators. Programming of CNC lathes and milling machinery including set up and operate CNC machinery to produce parts with specified tolerances and timely matter. Set up and operate manual machinery to produce parts with specified tolerances and timely matter. Recognize job hazards and use appropriate PPE and safety procedures.Operation of fork truck and other lifting equipment. Maintain and monitor production equipment, perform routine maintenance, replace worn components and tooling as required. Conduct quality control analysis on various in house and purchased parts. Maintain, organize and clean work area. Communicate with supervision or other manufacturing personnel to exchange technical information, production schedules.
