Responsibilities:
As a Manufacturing Associate at Pella, you'll be an integral part of our assembly team, working collaboratively to construct high-quality windows and doors. Your duties may include:
· Learning and performing various assembly tasks, with the opportunity for cross-training in different areas.
· Operating equipment and tools according to production orders, ensuring precise control and adherence to quality standards.
· Maintaining regular and dependable attendance, contributing to a productive work environment.
· Upholding safety protocols and quality standards at all times.
Requirements:
· Ability to pass pre-employment tests.
· Capacity to lift repetitively 80-100 lbs, ensuring you can handle the physical demands of the job.
· Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a polite and respectful demeanor.

What is the Job?
You will ensure all parts fit correctly and are suitable for the final product. You will use your hands or machines to do the job with greater precision. You must have good technical knowledge and possess great manual dexterity. Ability to read instructions represented in manuals, drawings, schematics etc. and follow them with precision is extremely important. The goal is to produce complex outputs by putting together smaller components.
Starting pay up to $23.50 per hour based on experience.
$1,500 sign-on bonus.
Typical schedule 1st Shift Monday - Thursday 5:00 am - 3:30 pm with Friday overtime as needed.
Responsibilities
Read and comprehend instructions and follow established proceduresCollect all material and equipment needed to begin the processTake precision measurements to ensure perfect fit of componentsSelect or modify components according to measurements and specificationsAlign material and put together parts to build more complex unitsCheck output to ensure highest qualityMaintain equipment in good conditionKeep records of production quantities and timeReport on issues, malfunction or defective partsQualifications
Proven experience as an assembler is a plusAbility in using tools (e.g. clamps) and machines (e.g. presses)Good communication skills (verbal and written)Excellent hand-eye coordinationHigh school diploma or GEDAbility to read, understand and follow directions and diagramsAbility to lift and maneuver 50lbs or moreMust have excellent hand-eye coordinationMust be capable of utilizing various hand and power tools
