    Job Description The role of the ProDealer Sales Representative is to represent Pella Corporation's high-quality brand, products, and services in regional ProDealer accounts by building relationships with, influencing, and training customer representatives. This is a salary/incentive-based position that requires a competitive, outgoing individual that will be motivated by working independently and achieving sales goals in an assigned territory. Responsibilities Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Partner with assigned accounts to influence sales staff to surpass predetermined sales goals in territory. Knowledge of basic residential and commercial construction as well as general window and door product understanding. Educate and establish yourself as the fenestration expert for assigned accounts and customers, including in depth knowledge of competitive landscape. Accurately read, interpret, and takeoff blueprints in order to assist customers in acquiring and growing their new construction builder business. Demonstrated ability to develop strong business relationships inside an account as well as the development and maintenance of personal relationships with customers. Demonstrated ability to coach and train others on selling strategies and product knowledge skills. Conduct planning meetings that result in actionable plans and ongoing conversation allowing for the accomplishment of sales goals. Communicate regularly with Sales Management, Marketing provide input and feedback regarding product, programs and policies. Develop Business Plans with account to increase sales performance and meet sales goals. Assist accounts in developing builder relationships in order to acquire and maintain new business opportunities. Represent Pella at Trade shows and events. Responsible for executing selling activities to reach objectives established for his/her territory. Provides input on strategic initiatives to increase sales and profitability. Responsible for managing a personal budget for travel and training expenses. This position is the primary communication link between the company and the customer; as such, the rep is responsible for accurately portraying the Pella brand and product offerings. Responsible for answering customer questions and resolving customer concerns in a timely manner to maximize customer satisfaction within Pella business guidelines. Expected to utilize customer relationship management software while remotely located. Need to be proficient in Microsoft Office. Must be able to maintain travel requirements of 50%-75% with overnight stays; must maintain a valid driver's license.     What is the Job?

     

    You will ensure all parts fit correctly and are suitable for the final product. You will use your hands or machines to do the job with greater precision. You must have good technical knowledge and possess great manual dexterity. Ability to read instructions represented in manuals, drawings, schematics etc. and follow them with precision is extremely important. The goal is to produce complex outputs by putting together smaller components.

     

    Starting pay up to $23.50 per hour based on experience.  

    $1,500 sign-on bonus.

     

    Typical schedule 1st Shift Monday - Thursday 5:00 am - 3:30 pm with Friday overtime as needed.

Responsibilities Role Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Reads load lists, production schedule, customer or shipping instructions in order to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed Loads and unloads trucks, verifies load lists, and moves materials and items to storage, production, service, office or other designated areas Sorts and places warehouse materials or items on racks, shelves, pallets or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as location, order number, size, type, style, color, or product code Assembles customer orders from the stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, marking the material with identifying information Notifies manager or coworkers of shortages, discrepancies or anticipated needs Conducts Pella product quality audits in accordance with the quality inspection process Performs cycle counts to verify accuracy of inventory information; maintains inventory records Arranges stock parts in specified sequence for assembly by other workers Uses computer to verify order information, such as expected receipt date, product type, color, or quantity Operates radio frequency scanners Drives/Operates material handling equipment (i.e. cherry picker, forklift, wheeled carts, etc.) upon certification Prepares parcels for mailing or third party delivery service Works in a way that prevents damage to product Meets company safety requirements by keeping work area neat and clean, following safety precautions and wearing required safety apparel (i.e. shoes, safety glasses, fall protection, etc.) and reporting any safety concerns to supervisor Promotes and facilitates continuous improvement activities in the department Drives truck loaded with Pella products to customer jobsite or other predetermined location; occasionally picks-up return products Performs visual quality inspections on product while loading and unloading Collects money from customers on COD orders and issues a customer receipt Obtains customer signature as a verification of delivery or pick-up Ensure vehicle is always operated in safe manner, in all conditions Reports maintenance needs on delivery vehicles Must have a valid driver's license, may require commercial driver's license, and in compliance with the company Fleet Safety Policy Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience Must have a High School Diploma or GED and dependable work history. Valid Driver's license required, may require commercial driver's license. Prior knowledge of general construction applications and terminology and/or window and door applications or components is desirable but not required. Computer Skills Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint software applications. May be expected to develop proficiency in Pella proprietary software (i.e., PQM, Salesforce, OMS, etc.). Language and Communication Skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions such as safety rules, short correspondence, memos and read unit labels. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization. Professional Skills Must be a team player and exhibit a strong desire to learn and promote self-growth. Must be pro-active, self-motivated, and have a demonstrated ability to follow assignments through to completion. Attention to detail is required. Must be able to develop trust, respect, and confidence of customers, coworkers and managers. Must present a clean and neat physical appearance. Mathematical Skills Ability to subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform calculations using units of money, time, measurement, volume, distance etc. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, length, width, height, and depth. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, type or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, crawl or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Occasionally an employee will have to lift more than 100 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
