    Role Overview

    The Onsite Site Operations Lead is a contracted professional embedded at a customer data center to act as an onsite representative. This role is responsible for coordinating and facilitating the delivery and deployment of next-generation AI infrastructure while serving as a liaison between on site and off site leadership, deployment teams, and the client. The role ensures smooth execution of rack delivery, placement, and coordination activities through strong onsite presence, daily communication, and accurate workflow tracking.

     

    Key Responsibilities

    Maintain full-time onsite presence as a contracted representative during standard business hours.Facilitate the delivery, staging, placement, and deployment of next-generation Dell AI racks.Act as a liaison between the Site Lead and the client to ensure alignment and clear communication.Serve as a customer-facing representative for all onsite deployment-related activities.Coordinate rack deployment activities with engineers, data center facility personnel, and end users.Provide daily deployment status updates to the Site Lead and Deployment Lead.Update and maintain workflow trackers, deployment logs, and documentation.Track progress, dependencies, and issues and escalate risks as appropriate to Dell leadership.Support resolution of onsite logistical or coordination challenges related to rack deployment.

     

    Preferred Qualifications

    Experience supporting large-scale AI, GPU, or high-performance computing (HPC) infrastructure deployments.

    Familiarity with Dell AI infrastructure, NVIDIA GPU-based systems, or hyperscale data center environments.

    Experience coordinating rack-and-stack activities, hardware installations, and deployment schedules within mission-critical facilities.

    Knowledge of data center construction, commissioning, or infrastructure deployment projects.

    Experience working with facilities teams, MEP contractors, and data center operations personnel.

    Familiarity with asset management processes, inventory tracking systems, and deployment documentation.

    Proven ability to manage escalations and coordinate issue resolution across technical and operational teams.

    Additional Responsibilities

    Coordinate rack delivery schedules, receiving activities, and rack placement within the data center environment.

    Track hardware assets from receipt through deployment, ensuring accurate inventory records and documentation.

    Validate equipment deliveries and reconcile shipment discrepancies with deployment and logistics teams.

    Support rack-and-stack activities by coordinating technicians, facilities personnel, and deployment engineers.

    Monitor deployment milestones and proactively identify schedule, facility, or operational risks.

    Escalate deployment blockers, infrastructure issues, and customer concerns to appropriate leadership teams.

    Coordinate with facilities and MEP teams to ensure deployment readiness, including power, cooling, cabling, and space availability.

    Physical Requirements

    Ability to walk the data center floor for extended periods throughout the workday.

    Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 40 pounds as needed.

    Comfortable working around server racks, cabling, and data center infrastructure.

    Ability to climb ladders, bend, stoop, and work in confined spaces when required.

    Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with all site safety requirements.

    Travel, Housing & Relocation

    This is a fully onsite position located in Ellendale, North Dakota.

    A monthly relocation/housing stipend of $1,500 is provided for candidates residing outside the local market.
