Location: 1300 W Warner Road, Tempe, AZ 85284
Shift: Monday – Friday, 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
Pay: $26.00/Hour
Overtime: $39.00/Hour
Attendance Bonus: Up to $3,000
Position SummaryThe FAA Welder II performs precision TIG welding, fabrication, assembly, and repair of aerospace components and assemblies in accordance with FAA regulations, engineering specifications, and Honeywell quality standards.
This role requires strong blueprint-reading skills, attention to detail, and the ability to consistently produce high-quality welds in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities• Perform TIG welding on stainless steel, aluminum, nickel alloys, and other aerospace metals.
• Fabricate, assemble, modify, and repair FAA-regulated components and structures.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, weld symbols, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Inspect completed welds for structural integrity, dimensional accuracy, and compliance with quality standards.
• Operate welding equipment, hand tools, grinders, and fabrication machinery safely and effectively.
• Complete required production and quality documentation.
• Identify and report non-conforming materials, defects, or process issues.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area while following all safety procedures.
Qualifications• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of TIG welding experience required.
• Aerospace, aviation, manufacturing, fabrication, or precision welding experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Formal welding training, certification, or apprenticeship preferred.
Physical Requirements• Frequently lift and move materials weighing 30+ pounds.
• Stand, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
• Work around heat, machinery, noise, and industrial manufacturing equipment.
• Wear required PPE including welding helmet, gloves, safety glasses, and protective equipment.
