JOB TYPE: Full Time with full benefits eligibility
LOCATION: Dayton, OH
COMPENSATION: $23.69 an hour plus $6.98/hour safety/communication package - Mileage at $0.72.5/mile (IRS Rate) Local Inspectors Only.
POSITION SUMMARY: This is a project-based position, and you should demonstrate a thorough knowledge of all construction activities, means and methods to ensure projects are completed in accordance with all applicable requirements including standards, engineering design, regulatory guidelines, permits and schedules. Thorough Knowledge of Construction activities for gas distribution.Ensuring your team is adhering to the highest safety standards.You should have acute attention to detail and be highly organized.Be ready to engage with clients and fellow team members to conduct efficient operations.Maintain compliance with all standards of conduct, client SOP’s, company policies and procedures.Duties you can expect day-to-day:
Perform inspection of all contractors’ duties on pipe replacement projects including squeezing, grounding, purging and PE pipe fitting installation of ½” through 8”. Complete and maintain all Paxon and client specific Operator Qualifications.Exercise your authority to STOP WORK as required to prevent on-site work mishaps and maintain a safe work environment.Ensure all documentation is completed in a timely manner.

Certified Arborist – Vegetation Management Field Auditor

LOCATION: These positions will be on-site throughout California, primarily in the Oakland area; no relocation assistance is available for this position.
COMPENSATION: $43 - $47 per hour
POSITION SUMMARY: Our Certified Arborists will be responsible for assisting our client with conducting audits to assess completed work and facilities.

Audit on-going and completed vegetation management jobs in the field to ensure compliance with the job requirements and approved tree removal and pruning standards. Post-audit forms shall be filled out indicating the adequacy of the vegetation management work completed. Post-audit forms are to be forwarded to the appropriate Client Representative.Secure the permission of each property owner before the vegetation management contractor commences tree removal work on any property for which Client does not already have removal rights. If the removal rights are not known or are unclear, then the QAVMFA shall obtain Permission prior to the removal of any tree.Promptly inform Client’s Representative in writing of each instance in which QAVMFA is unable to obtain Permission or permits.Supervise individual tree replacement and high production seedling planting activities ensuring proper tree is chosen for site and planting techniques comply with ISA standards.As deemed necessary by Client's Representative, the QAVMFA may be required to perform emergency or storm related tree work at any time. If required to perform such emergency or storm related work, QAVMFA shall ensure that all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to perform such work shall be available within twenty-four (24) hours of Client's notification to QAVMFA that such work is required.QUALIFICATIONS:

Non-Certified Arborist

LOCATION: Arcadia, CA
COMPENSATION: $32 - $40 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. This is a non-exempt position eligible for overtime. A company vehicle may be provided based on business needs
POSITION SUMMARY: The Non-Certified Arborist is responsible for inspecting trees, identifying and documenting hazardous conditions, and providing recommendations related to vegetation management and utility line clearance. Individuals in this role are expected to obtain ISA Certified Arborist (or equivalent) certification within one year of employment.

Authorized to work in the U.S. High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED), and related education, training, or experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experienceAbility to obtain ISA Certified Arborist certification (or an equivalent industry-recognized certification approved by Paxon) within one year of employment.
